Finally stopped in for lunch. Very small; seats 20; with a wait counter. Menu is large for the venue. Actually clean inside. Daily specials. Ordered taco plate with chips and salsa. Steak tacos were actually good; beans were tasty; rice chips and salsa fair.

The food continues to be great. We have eaten there several times and I do not think we have ever been disappointed. This is a new location, it has many more tables than the old one, parking is a problem. I think the staff need more training both in discussing the menu options with new people and in general wait protocol. Our favorite menu items are the shredded pork options.

I ordered nachos with all the trimmings. It is hard to screw this one up, but we were obviously dealing with professionals. Soggy nachos, tasteless ground beef, jalapeños without heat, sour cream without sour, the cheese could have been yellow bath sealant. At the time, and in retrospect, the worst nachos I have ever sampled. My pal ordered the taco bowl salad, which was anaemic but OK'ish. We asked to have the salad leftovers put in a box, but the waitress threw the lot out. Maybe she was a part-time food critic.All in all, very mediocre.

Stopped overnight in Jackson and asked our clerk at the Holiday Inn Express to recommend a restaurant. She said the Best place in town was Mexican, and we followed her advice.This place has a fantastic menu, great Margaritas, and wonderful servers. The owners keep a close on on the quality of both food and service, and it shows.We drive by Jackson several times a year and this place is now on our list of âHave to stop!â Restaurants.

Very large bar, plenty of seating. Clean place and friendly staff. Large menu with standard bar fare with burgers, sandwiches, appetizers and also quite a few Tex Mex options. Food was really good, cooked well and reasonably priced. Drink menu was quite expansive, many cocktails and a large selection of draft beer. Would definitely come back, nice little spot for dinner and or drinks

All restaurants of the Chilango group are excellent. Having eaten in some of Mexicoâs highest rated restaurants, we are familiar with top notch Mexican food. Chilangos is as good. Excellent service with authentic food makes Chilangos our only stop for Mexican food in Jackson. Breakfast and brunch menus are full of tasty choices.

Chilango's is a true local establishment, and so much better than the usual chain or franchise Mexican style restaurant. They offer a wide variety (burritos, burrito bowls, tacos, etc) prepared quickly by hand with a wide range of flavors and ingredients. Show up hungry because the burritos are about the size of your forearm. Prices are reasonable for what you are getting. My burrito bowl was $9 plus tax and tip. Rating a "5" for being a straight up honestly good, fast, cheap, and local eatery.

This is an old staple for us - and we tend to dine here quite frequently. We love the new, larger building and never have issues getting a table. Service is fast, friendly and the food is really good. I love the large variety of tacos but I always tend to order the shrimp diablo. Love it!
