We found ourselves off the beaten path and came across this place. We were in disbelief at the lunch special - two sizable dishes, wine and dessert or coffee for 8.5 Euros. No catch, just an amazing value. Place is unusually but tastefully decorated. Service prompt and professional. And the quality of food was outstanding. I recommend the pork cheeks and cod fritters. Highly recommend this place.

The setting was pure Catalan farmhouse and seemed to be modelled on Mas Guso and Pera Batilla being A Mas serving both Tapas and full meals.I found the extent of the fusion confusing and felt that the restaurant was struggling to have an identity. We chose 2 similar tapas (our mistake) a cruise to de botifarra and Rotllets vietnamites (both 7 euro) for mains the chicken curry was served with rice and a Brazilian Yucca veg which added nothing to the dish. The cod was good Prices 16.50 and 17.50. The deserts were stars, the carquinoles biscuit basket in which the requeson cheese, honey and pine nuts were served was excellent as was the pineapple brochettes. The mark up on the Oriol negra wine was steeper than usual in Spain for the house wine (14.50) In short the 83€ was a tad expensive, but if you like fusion foods it's one to try. Outside the main season it is only open on Friday, Saturday and Sunday

We are fairly regular users of this restaurant which is very attractive, the service is excellent as is the wine but last nights 4 fish dishes had to be sent back as they were all undercooked and the children’s chicken dish was raw in the middle. Apparently the chef is new, let’s hope he learns to cook soon as this is one of the nicest restaurants in the areaThank you for your review, your important opinion will help us to improve.I can assure you that our chef is very well known for his creations in the local catering sector and for sure one of the best chefs on the whole Costa Brava.Thinking about your past experiences, as our regular and satisfied client, I really hope you will give us another chance and maybe reconsider your review in your next visit. Thanks again and kind regards

Quaint and nice decorated restaurant in sant Pere Pescador. The menu offers an interesting range of possibilities, all typical al tasty suggestions. The atmosphere is quite calm and agreeable, only a bunch of tables in the main hall. We loved the rice and starters, above all those suggested by the waiters. I suggest asking the price before you order something not included in the menu.

We stumbled across this place on our first night in town & thought ‘let’s try it’ Good decision! The Cesar salad was delicious, the eggs & chorizo were declared delicious & the kids menu was huge & excellent. Good vegan options too, which I wasn’t expecting. Very patient staff who coped with & assisted our terrible Spanish (we are German speakers as a foreign language not Spanish!) Great vibe, lovely to see kids welcomed much later than would be possible in the UK & delicious fresh food. And yummy puddings! Thank you very much Melanie for your kind comment and happy that you liked our food and treatment, it's fantastic! See you soon! ;-)

We had to book this restaurant because it is so popular. The staff are friendly and attentive and we sat outside to the front which was a nice setting. We chose the: spicy chorizo and peppers, Erics special, duck, four seasons and cheese and ham pizzas and all we excellent. The pizzas are all 40 cm and we took some home in a box provided. Each pizza is around 10 euros and are fresh and tasty and are the best I've had for some time. With a pizza each and two rounds of drinks the bill came to 67 euros, which is fantastic value.

Taken here by Catalan friends, who really rated it - and we totally understand why. It is a restaurant that has only relatively recently opened, but is renown for having an excellent chef. The Menu del Día was fantastic value for money. Difficult to recommend dishes, as most of the menu changes daily. There are certain dishes at extra cost, which seem to be more constant, such as the beef chop, and the snails. Our creps stuffed with vegetables as an entrée were delicious, but so was the John Dory. The house wine was also very good. However you will be hard put to find a better Crema Catalana. Including one extra dish, wine, water and coffees, the meal came to €70 for 4 people. Not easy to beat that. One important tip.....this is not a big restaurant, and locals rate it highly, so you would be well advised to book, as people were being turned away at one point yesterday.Good Morning. Thank you for your review. We are very thankful about all the details that you wrote down before. Thank you so much for enjoy the meal for know about us and for visit us. Thank you so much, we hope to see you again. Kind regards,

We walked past this restaurant and decided to try it because it looked clean and modern and it offered what appeared to be some interesting local dishes. We sat down and I ordered the turbot, and my wife ordered the sole. I thought that it was a little unusual for a restaurant to have two varieties of fish on its menu that are so very similar but I explained it to myself on the basis that the sauces (as described on the menu) appeared to be very different. We were given a small tasting dish which was very nice. Everything was looking good. And then the mains arrived. Honestly, when the server put the dishes down in front of me, I was impressed. A real effort had obviously been made to arrange each dish. But the fish on my plate was a fillet of fish (about 15mm thick) and covered in its skin. It did not look like turbot at all. I didn't complain because the dish looked so good. On my wife's plate was a triangular piece of fish, obviously a cut from around the tail of a fish, again, covered in skin. It looked nothing like sole. It looked like a cut from cod/cabiott or some other scaly fish with that same shape. We commenced eating. My fish was bland, the swirls of dressing on the plate were tasteless and added nothing to the taste. The overriding taste was a strange fishy taste with a lot of salt over the top. There was no butter or lemon or sauce of any type, it wasn't pan-cooked or braised (or at least braised correctly). It was pretty awful. Dry, funny smell. My wife did not eat her fillet. She said it wasn't sole. I looked at it and I agreed. Then I tasted it. It tasted the same as mine, but it was bad, going off. It was old. That was the same taste in my fish, but more strong in the smaller thinner tail section.I recognised it as being old-fish when I tasted her fish. I think that it was cod too. I think that the chef palmed off 2 cuts from one Fish that was going out of date. One of the worse, most dishonest meals I have ever had. I felt sick all afternoon. To be avoided at all costs.Dear Lough222,Thank you very much for taking part of your valuable time to share your recent experience with us.First of all, I would like to extend my apologies for not having met your expectations. At the same time, I would like to review some details following your comments. I do not know if you made any comments directly during your stay regarding the fish however, I would have liked to correct this immediately by adding another dish in its place at no cost to you. We would also like to clarify that in our restaurant Brasic, the protagonist of the kitchen is our wood oven, which forces us to cook some of the fish such as sole and turbot (not cod) along with its skin, to reach its optimum cooking. Possibly the confusion was due to bring a sauce "Pil Pil" that accompanies it, made from the gelatin of cod that is emulsified with garlic and olive oil. We regret that your overall experience with us has not met your expectations and we take note of your comments to improve the level of satisfaction of our customers.Best regards,Brasic Team
