Rustic and stylish hideaway in the Jura
Reviewed By 5penta5The hotel is located on a top of a hill, between the Swiss and French border. The hotel itself and the rooms are amazingly decorated, chalet style, but all elements fit together, wood carved lamps, stone shower place, etc. The rooms look like the photo's. Staff was very friendly and made my stay a very welcome one. Next time Jura, I stay here again. The restaurant was amazing as well. The food was incredible.

Reviewed By Mark PThe hotel and rooms were clean but very basic lacking a number of the things you now expect from accommodation - tea/drinking making facilities, shampoo, hairdryer, alarm clock, shower curtain etc. If you are just after a place to sleep then it fine although can be noisy.

Great place close to the lake
Reviewed By Joris BWe had a one night stay in this completely renovated guesthouse. The rooms are spacious and airy and relatively cool despite the extreme temperatures outside. We could tick all boxes: great shower, great bed, great breakfast. There are kitchen facilities for the guests to use. Special Thanks to the lady host for her friendliness and helpfulness.

Excellent for the Price
Reviewed By Benzi-RI spent one night during an off-season time. It was around 60 Euros. The room was clean albeit a little small. There isn't room to put your luggage horizontally, but hey, for this price, what can you expect. I gave it 5 dots because I compare what you get versus what you pay, and I know it's off season, but still. They have a nice heated pool, good size and a nice breakfast (not included). They have a small play room with a pool table.

A great place to stay if you visit the area
Reviewed By philippegU8485UHMy wife and I recently stayed at the Auberge du Chateau de Joux. We previously dined at the excellent restaurant but this time we spent the night. The room was very comfortable, the breakfast was copious and well priced and, last but not least, we absolutely loved the hospitality of the staff. Coming from the California, we often expect a high level of service. We were not disappointed and loved the help and the warm reception we received from Gaëtan. Moreover, his english was excellent.

Reviewed By annebrechet1We were disappointed for the following reasons| There was no choice of cooked food in the restaurant. In fact it was more like.a canteen, there was a large choice of starters, several times because I did not want to eat the cooked meal offered, always the cheapest cuts of meat or fish, I ate two staters instead. Deserts OK! It was rare to see someone at the reception desk. Once the so called restaurant was closed there was no we could get something to drink. No machines for hot drinks or cold, no kettle in the bedroom, no water machines. The bedrooms were only cleaned twice a week, including emptying of bins. Hot water ran out once, so no one could shower, no explanation or excuse offered. The bar ran out once, except for spirits and beers! Wifi only in the bar area, no tv or radio in the bedrooms. So I would not go there again, a shame because the little village is nice, although there is nothing there except one tiny general store, which makes up for the lacks in the centre. At least we could buy a drink there! Don't go there without a car as we met a couple. No transport of any kind, except taxi!
