Reviewed By ZaruWA brilliant hotel overall. Pros: The building, the reception, the interiors, the rooms, provided beautiful visuals. Excellent value for money for the quality of your stay. The breakfast (included in price) was phenomenal. Good variety. The room was spacious; lots of space for storing/hanging clothes. Nice spot to sit & work if need. Nice practical bathroom; sink, mirror, taps and powerful great shower. The staff were friendly and professional. Everything was clean and well maintained. Lovely balcony with fresh views. Nice art, sitting areas, TV, bar etc for those spending time in the common areas. Cons: As a couple, we purchased a "double room" as explicitly stated. However despite the Hotel being extremely empty at the time of stay, we still only got a room with two single beds pushed together with individual bed sheets. This made it awkward to try and fix the sheets to sleep together. The confirmation email stated under special requests - bed preference - "Standard Double Room: 1 double" Only found out the swimming pool is closed from 15 Oct 2019 - 1 Jun 2020 after the confirmation email - their website is also quite broken currently to look up anything on their site. Bathroom - no air refreshener sprays - didn't see any ventilation..? Side of the bathtub built a puddle when showering, it would overflow and leak on the floor. (Room 217) One of the two glasses in the room had candle wax stuck the the bottom corners - I assume previous guests lit a candle, poorly washed it and the cleaning service didn't think the glass was used and did not clean it? We asked reception to replace it. The room minibar was a little expensive. Would prefer plastic bags in the bin to place rubbish in. (Don't think cleaning staff want to hand scrub bins?) A closet light didn't hard but was not an issue in the slightest. English on all leaflets was a bit comically poor. The only real thing that bothered us was the two single beds in a double room. Don't get the wrong idea, it was an exceptional room and place to stay. Great for price, high quality, fancy. A brilliant hotel and highly recommended.

Reviewed By SaaraV65Really loved our 3-night stay there. The family is extremely hospitable and welcoming: they did everything to make us feel like home. The view is spectacular and the location great if you want to visit the wineries in the region: in Pinhao, Peso da Regua or the Vila Real district in general. The breakfast included fresh orange juice, fresh fruits, bread, yoghurt, granola, pancakes etc. so a good selection of quality products. Would definitely stay here again.

Hotel Quinta do Paco came in 1998 with the appointment of Quinta do Paco. This project originated from a farm with century manor house. XVIII, which after reconstruction and expansion has brought a unique and singular space in the region. No major formalities and very close to what we are familiar with this space is a smooth junction between the traditional and the modern, rustic and urban, tranquility and excitement. The surroundings of the hotel are composed by a magnificent garden, where he dazzles on the horizon that hosts the city of Vila Real. Walking along the Quinta, in addition to a traditional granary, ponds, fountains and reading spaces, also fruit trees, the walnut valley, olive grove and garden.An outdoor pool provides, in full hot summer, a great choice for relaxation, and the magnificent traditional fireplaces, with certainty, the most sought location of the Quinta when the snow decides to make a visit. The Quinta has a private chapel. Of great architectural simplicity, its interior was restored in 1998 when the adaptation of the hotel.

Reviewed By minta18Not a 4 star hotel. rooms are ok be ready for a few insects though. not over run i must say. Bar prices went up daily. Food was good we stayed for 4 nights and ate there for 4 nights. strange lay out of hotel difficult to get to room with luggage. Pool looked ok i didn't use it though. Overall not bad but wasn't worth €150 a night they charged my company.

Super friendly host, didn't like the accommodation much
Reviewed By Dung LThis is an accommodation which is nice for a stop-over and only for sleeping, but not if you are looking for a relaxing home-base. Me and my boyfriend stayed for three days in a room on the first floor which hadn't been renovated yet like the other rooms (on the ground floor). It had quite a dank smell, of water that has been hanging around too long. The bed was quite hard and uncomfortable (I think for a one-night stay it would be fine) and there was no reading lamp. So if my boyfriend wanted to sleep and I wanted to read, someone had to compromise. The only outside space is a terrace where you can order dinner in the evenings, but the lights go off after dinner, so you cannot relax and sit outside on your own in the evenings. The family who runs the place is lovely though, and the lady/mother of the house is amazingly friendly. She does the cooking for the guests herself. One time we were asking if they had pizza. It wasn't on the menu but then she just disappeared off into the kitchen for almost an hour cooking pizza for us! Another plus is that there is a parking area on the premises and breakfast included. The breakfast is simple but it was all we needed to start our day.

Reviewed By Rosie KVery stuck in 70's cramped rooms no wifi beds tiny meaning im 5ft5 and my feet were against the backboard. Awful mattress & pillows lumpy and uncomfortable. Noise from pub/bar lasts pretty much till you eventually nod off only to be woken by the guard dog next door that barks continously until 7am. Breakfast, well would have done better to go to a local cafe it was abbissmal takes self service to a whole new level For the price we paid definatley not worth it and would happily drive past not stopping

Reviewed By Flor DFui para hacer un trámite en el sef, queda a una cuadra!, a media cuadra tenes el supermercado pingo 12, y a una cuadra el centro. Ubicación perfecta. Cama de dos plazas Súper cómoda! Y la dueña o recepcionista es amable y te brinda ayuda en lo que necesites. Respecto a otros comentarios, en el piso de abajo o al lado hay un bar y se escucha un poco de música, pero súper suave, peor sería escuchar el ruido típico de cualquier ciudad y por la ubicación no se escucha ningún otro sonido. Negativo: lugar muy antiguo, no hay shampoo ni acondicionador, él tele es pequeñiiiiiisimo debe ser de 10 pulgadas . No hay sala de estar común. Positivo: Buena relación costo/calidad, buena ubicación, buena atención, buena limpieza

It is a farmhouse of the XVI century located in the Town of Cumieira "Douro" and 5 kilometers from Vila Real. The farm has 20 hectares of vineyards and olive groves and the spaces of the house are transformed to welcome guests for catering and events.

Reviewed By Yarden Mwe LOVED the place! The hosts and especialy Luis were so kind and generous, the room was beautiful and comfortable, very spacious. Lovely place with great views, and the swimming pool!! WOW. a little paradise. Hope to come again one day. very recommended!

Nos dejaron entrar 2 horas antes y tb nos dejaron salir más tarde para aprovechar la piscina. La propietaria muy amable y servicial mientras estuvimos allí. Pero mi total decepción vino cuando después de puntual la estancia en booking( en la q puse q todo excelente menos la ubicación, a la q Le puse regular), la propietaria me manda un watsap con muy poca educación, llamándome la atención por darle un 8.3 cuando todo el mundo le daba más de 9. Y lo termina con una frase poco agradable hacia los españoles. Que pena q una estancia tan agradable se estropee con la poca educación de una señora que a priori no carecía de ella...
