We would not recommend this hotel, even though it is an IHG property by the hospital. Upon check in, we saw a lobby full of renovation supplies. Our room was extremely old, dirty and had no air conditioning (it was 98 that day). There were no other rooms available, so we checked out with a 30 minute window. They would not issue a refund under any circumstance. Be aware that this hotel is under renovation and you may have a similar experience. This was one of the worst experiences we have had with a hotel.

The front desk’s people are so nice and helpful and accommodating, they had to move us a few times and were extremely helpful and respectful. I left some items after we checked out, and they made sure I got every thing back by calling us and having everything in a bag. I recommend this tenfold!

I was really shocked on how nasty the room and bathroom were. We stayed there last year and it was ok. I mean it wasn’t the best but at least I didn’t have ti clean my own room like I did this time. The lady at the front desk was nice but other than that it was just a bad experience.

Do not stay here unless you would like to mop and sweep your own floors, clean dead bugs from around the place and take ice-cold showers. Stayed here for 2 nights and both nights were absolutely miserable the first night we got in and were too tired to deal with the floor but when you walk around the room barefoot your feet get caked in dirt and hair so we kept a towel by the bed to wipe your feet off with. When going into the bathroom if you're scared of bugs that's too bad because there are live and dead ones around in the bathroom. When taking a shower prepare to freeze because that water is straight from the arctic. If you think your towels and sheets will be stain free you'd be wrong the towels look like everyones used them as feet towels or to mop the floor a time or 2 and the sheets look like someones used them to clean the bathroom with how much yellow stains they have on them. DO NOT STAY WOULD RATHER SLEEP IN THE CAR AND SHOWER IN THE RAIN.

He was very unprofessional and a bully.

Reviewed By justindZ6435HX

. The manager here, Randy Patel kicked me out of the hotel for complaining about no water as my mouth was dry and was suffering from intense anxiety about making a day perfect with someone. I was running low on time to begin with and didn't want to make an extra trip to the store. I was upset but I am the type of person who treats the person taking my order at mcdonalds with respect and gratitude. The girl at the front desk did nothing wrong and I talked to her a bit about hotel work as I work in hotels and have ambitions to work myself up in the company but mr Andy Patel assumed I was abusing employees, made me get my stuff out and literally threw the reciept at my feet. and went to call the police on me for no reason other than pointing out that they weren't following a policy. He also threatened to try to get me fired at my job when I began to question why he was doing that to me and then he said, "If I let you stay here, are you going to shut your mouth and quit complaining?" well, I protested this so he called the cops for exactly that. Threw a reciept at my feet like I am an animal. I went and tried to do the best with my plans and didn't have time to stop and argue but I was stranded because I had just enough money for the stay at the hotel and the refund didn't come in for a few days. My bank doesn't exist there. I came back the next day, and asked him to please hand me the receipt in my hand and treat me like I have human dignity.. He refused and his employee did do it. She sent me an email. He has me banned for literally nothing and isn't even following the hotel policy which is to have tv dinners, a selection of snacks and drinks available and he had only a soda machine that took only cash. I panicked over this but this review wouldn't be here had it not been for Mr Patels treatment of me. The room was also very dirty and there was a dark stain on a blanket but I didn't say anything at the time over the other major issue. I suffer from major depressive disorder and do not exaggerate that the mistreatment of Patel effects me to this day. He also smirked at me when I was upset and told me "you ran out here with your tail between your legs yesterday you were so scared" I told him I didn't care if he called my job and he said, "write the number on this piece of paper then, so I can" I refused to demean myself doing that and then he called me a liar. in reality, I was trying to just get my plans done that I was in panic feeling anxious which is why i left and came back the next day to protest. . I went there to spend the day with my significant other and to visit with friends. Not to be totally humiliated. He does it because he is a Patel and can get away with it. I deal with rude people who are legitimately unreasonable all of the time and I don't have the last name Patel or I'm not family to the owners. I would get fired for doing that. He also lied and said, I got kicked out of all the hotels around him to my face the next day when in reality , I did stay at a hotel and I didn't get kicked out, my refund and money hold prevented me for a while getting another room. This person really abused me at this place. I once had to deal with a rude guest who later told me her daughter was dying in the hospital and she began to cry talking to me about it. I felt very sad and realized that sometimes part of being in hospitality is being hospitable even if you perceive that person as rude because sometimes, you never really know what that person is going through. Patel would have thrown the recipt at her feet, and screamed at her to get out, I suppose. This is honestly someone Patel or not who definitely has no business as a manager at any hotel. I was afraid he would try to get me to lose my job but I realize I did nothing wrong and it is just a heavy emotional burden to not defend myself and let this man get away with treating me like this. I want go to a hotel with someone who as a manager is passionate about hospitality and sympathetic to his guests. Not egotistical and abusive over someones grief. Why was I banned? I didn't threaten, hit or abuse property or cuss or insult an employee.. I was banned because I pointed out that they were not following a policy. They don't deserve anyones business. I was so afraid by the way this man acted, I videoed him just in case he put his hands on me and I defend myself, I wouldn't go to jail because he was lying about things and acting aggressive. I guess he has nothing to worry about because he is family to the owners. He's a patel, which is an important name in hotels. But despite that, he doesn't deserve his position. This isn't me just me just retaliating. This is a matter of insisting on justice and what is right and wrong. It's about fairness. This happened months ago and this still bothers me, today. I want what I have to say to be heard and I want there to be consequences behind this mans actions and that he dare represent a hotel brand such a horrible way that I have personally have grown passionate about. What I said in this review is true and I want it to be heard. I ask that this review remains up for the respect of the hospitality industry. I mean everything I say.

Comfy but check in problem

We visited for a graduation. Drove 8+ hours only to be told that our room wasn't ready, then told a 45 minute delay!!! We were told the staff was busy and just didn't get to it. Only a room with a king bed available for three adults. Seriously?!? We had to drive 45 minutes to get to Waco and freshen up at a friend's place then jet over to graduation. The courtesy of a phone call, text or any communication to inform us of the delay would've allowed us to plan differently. They didn't even care. Suite is very nice and comfy. BTW, they were too busy to clean. The toilet seat had a crusty stain on it. I scrubbed and disinfected it myself. Breakfast bar is A+ and staff is nice. Yoli is my favorite. She's so friendly and cheery in the morning.

Disaster Not Handled Well!

If I had written this review immediately after staying at the hotel, it would have been 1 star. The hotel had a water pipe break the night of our stay. There was no hot water, and there was no breakfast. I recognize that this was an unforeseen event, but the hotel could have offered an apology and credit on the cost of the room. We could not take a shower, and breakfast was a packaged pastry and luke warm coffee. On the positive side, the room was comfortable and quiet with a good bed. Paid almost $200 for this room because a convention was in town. They should have offered a credit on our room. Customer service is poor.
