The positive: beds were comfortable, A/C worked well, good internet, free parking, close to the highway, great price, quiet at night. The negative: the cherry air fresheners they have every 2 steps you take in the hallways smell horrible and gave me headaches. Luckily the smell didn’t waft into the room. Nothing was necessarily dirty but I just didn’t feel very clean during my stay here. Felt like maybe a step up from a motel but with interior entrances. There is no elevator and I saw staff propping open the key card entry doors on a few occasions which made me feel less than safe. The thing I disliked the most on my visit was that when checking in my room number was said out loud. I thought the hospitality industry recognized at this point that this jeopardized the safely of their customers and stopped doing that, I didn’t think I would have to ask them to not do that. Luckily no one else was in the lobby but it would be great practice for them to stop doing that. The rooms themselves were a bit jarring because the ceilings look like an office, the wall behind the bed has a mural trying to make it feel modern, but all of the amenities were outdated. I don’t know, maybe I’m just splitting hairs at this point. Overall this hotel did the job for me but I wouldn’t stay again.

Reviewed By elishastancilI was asked for a credit card for incidentals since I was using my points to pay for the room … I got home two days later saw an $89 charge had been added to my credit card for the price of the room …had to call and speak to three different people to get it taken off …requested a receipt that I still don’t have yet and my credit is pending so I don’t actually have it yet! The iron in the room, we stayed in room 320, had something all over the top of it and it burned my shirt that I wanted to wear to my granddaughters christening doubt I’ll ever see that money!!!

Waterford Business Park, home to 3D systems, Omnova and more, is 2.5 miles away. Enjoy daily breakfast, parking and WiFi on us.

Reviewed By rzm1949The check in was easy, which we had wondered about since my husband had been getting frequent email reminders to finish the process by downloading the app. Didn’t want to download something he wasn’t going to frequently use. Greg Myers could not have been more welcoming and helpful. He asked if we’d like the 2nd or 4th floor and said that either would likely be quiet on a Monday night. I asked if a refrigerator was in the room and he said it was, though no freezer section for our ice packs. He offered to put something in the downstairs one but we passed, not knowing who’d be on the desk in the morning. The ice packs at least stayed cold, rather than frozen and we only beverages to take with us in the morning. He also told us where we the ice machine in the hotel was. The room seems designed for young people, but we liked the mattress and shower area. A complementary continental breakfast is served in the morning. I loved the lemony aroma and consistency of the hand soap, lotion, shampoo and conditioner. However we both found squeezing the large containers attached to the wall awkward. I also think every hotel bathroom should have a night light or a dimmer. Turning on full brightness in the middle of the night then turning it off and walking back into a dark unfamiliar room at night is a bit dicey. Yes, cell phones have flash lights, but it has always seemed weird to me to take a phone into the bathroom. Greg also gave us a great recommendation for a burger place not far away when we asked about a recommendation for a local brew and burger/sandwich. He also told us that he’d have fresh coffee out momentarily. We are Hilton Honors members but have never stayed at a Tru brand. We’d do it again, for an overnight stay.

Reviewed By Morgan GIt was just okay. Pretty basic hotel. I wouldn’t suggest this for just a quick trip. If you need it for a long stay maybe it’s the place for you. We had an issue with our air conditioning. It wasn’t handled in a welcoming way. The ladies working the desk seemed like we were bothering them when we talked to them about it. They couldn’t change our room because they were sold out all weekend. And then when we asked about a fan they had they gave it to us but just dropped it and said “hope it works.” We love Hilton Hotels and never have had an issue until this stay. This hotel just needs some changes. So again not the worst but not for us.

Our room did need a good facelift and we know that’s going to happen but I wish we would have known the work was going on. For the price of the room we could have stayed at another spot that was newer and fresh.

We were pleased with our experience at the Comfort Inn in Rock Hill, which we chose because it was pet friendly. Best of all, the rooms, furniture and bedding were clean and well kept which was quite different from what we usually find. Thank you for realizing that pet owners like cleanliness and comfort, too. The location was convenient to access, if a bit confusing due to intersecting highways. The woman who checked us in was friendly and professional. We appreciated the nice sized outdoor pool (though it was a bit noisy from the nearby highways and a little more shade might be in order.) The lobby and breakfast area were spotless, and we were delighted to have the typical Choice hotel fare back instead of grab and go. We wish there were restaurants within an easy walk -there is a Sonny’s very close by (you could theoretically walk but the area isn’t pedestrian friendly.)
