First visit to the Glencarin Gardens and it was a very pleasant experience. Beautiful sunny day on the day after Thanksgiving. Several families, kids, couples and singles walking the pathways and just enjoying the day. I even found a 'hidden' Rock Hill rocks to photograph, post on Face Book and rehide. Very nice late afternoon visit.

Ebenezer Park

The young children enjoyed playing in the roped off swim area. There is a life guard and small beach area. The water walks out to about four feet deep. We rented a picnic shelter with two tables and electricity. ($35) There are charcoal grills available. There is not much shade so renting the shelter ahead of time is a good idea. Bathrooms are close by the swimming area. There are swings and a play area with a slide. Don't forget to check in at the ranger station where there is a small store in case you forgot something. This is a nice place for a picnic.

Our grandkids had loads of fun exploring the many things to do, physically as well as mentally. We will return visit when our other granddaughter comes to visit.

Old Town Amphitheater

I absolutely love going to the concert series that the amphitheater puts on. I have seen Clint Black, 38 Special, Rick Springfield, and recently Kansas. There is literally not a bad seat in the house. There is tons of room between you and the people above or below you. There is food vendors and alcohol at a decent price (definitely not what you pay in Charlotte.) I will continue to go to the concert series that is offered every summer.

I was unfamiliar with the sport until asked to lead the local fine arts community to co-celebrate this international event. My creative studies lead me to the excitement of this sport and the 'forward thinking' of the city government to create such a venue in the city of Rock Hill. I recommend this venue for families of all ages to attend as spectator and participant !

The Giordana Velodrome is a 250 m track, great for spectating and great for racing. The staff is amazing too. They are truly service oriented. There are fees for racing and you have to be track certified. But the spectating is free and track racing is the Best spectator sport ever!
