The spa and the hot whirlpool in the room were simply breathtaking, on top of this we had a wonderful panoramic view in our terrace in a beautiful junior suite very spacious and extremely clean. At 50m from the hotel we had a super casino Admiral and we felt lucky enough to win some extra cash, it was a very high vibe detail. So our overall experience was delightfully pleasant! Great location, great room, perfect view, a stay to remember! I totally recommend it with all my heart!

Reviewed By owallWe stayed here for a long weekend as a group of cyclists, rooms were of good standard and very clean. Owner was extremely friendly and helpful, really impressed. Also had a good meal one night. Perfect spot for a cycling trip.

Reviewed By travelingwithLoriThis small hotel is about 20 minutes from the Ahlambra but is out in the countryside where all you hear are the birds. The view of the countryside from our room (#13) was floor to ceiling gorgeous. We could see it from our bed. We spent 5 nights here. It rained (unusual they tell me) 3 of those days but we were busy every day. Besides things to do in Granada (took 2 days) there is hiking right from your doorstep here. On a sunny day we took the Monachil-Cohorras hike which was a lot of fun and over 4 swinging bridges! (Mind you we are in our late 60s). One day we took a drive up into the Alpujarras and visited some beautiful villages there. Easy to do from this hotel. Although we didn't get to use it there is a beautiful swimming pool with grounds for refreshing. The breakfast here is very special indeed. The best we've ever had in all our stays all over Europe, Canada and U.S. The staff is friendly and helpful, happy to help you plan your days. This hotel is not a restaurant but they run a full bar all day long and will fix you dinner upon request. We ate twice there and the meals were the best we had on our trip. They don't skimp on quality and you will feel pampered while indulging on the beauty nature has to offer. The only caution I will add is that there are steps. We were fine with them but if you struggle with steps don't book here. Otherwise, book it right now. Do not look any further. This is a good value.

Reviewed By M9968HEpetermStayed for one night with my wife while holidaying in Andalusia and were blown away by this lovely little hotel with an authentic Spanish ambience, great views of the mountains and still close enough to visit beautiful Granada, we had great advice from the lovely host Maria about buses into Granada and even supplied a map, the hotel was spotlessly clean and the continental breakfast lovely, would definitely stay again.

Pleasant Small Hotel, not much to do in Monachil
Reviewed By PompeypersonWe had a pleasant view. The room was small as was the bathroom. The facilities were adequate and everything worked. There is plenty of parking on site. The staff members were friendly and helpful. I’m not sure if they spoke English as we communicated in Spanish. We didn’t use the pool as it was small and more appropriate for children. In my opinion, this is a good place for families as there was a good children’s play area. The restaurant was not exceptional and closed between 4pm and 8pm as did everything in Monachil. So there was not much to do between those hours. We found a nice restaurant two minutes away down the road called La Cantina De Diego. There are some nice walks around Monachil and there is a good bus service to and from Granada. It’s a good place to stay and take the short cheap bus ride to Granada.

Reviewed By BlevoWe stayed here the night before our flight back as the Airport is only 30 minutes away you can get a local bus near to take you into Granada city if you want to, but we just wanted to chill after visiting other places. Car parking great and free, nice bar and restaurant especially the one on the terrace there is a cocktail bar, bar and a kitchen on the terrace so the food is hot when served the quality was good and service with a smile and a sunset and view over Granada made it perfect for us, good value. We had a suite which was good with a large terrace, breakfast was good for us. The swimming pool was good and clean the only downside was the walk outside the hotel to get into the pool area this I think is because of extension work to the hotel.

Nice hotel
Reviewed By GtravellerALCBooked this hotel due to the proximity to Monachil and the Sierra Nevada as my partner and I had planned a few hikes. If you want a small hotel that is out of town so offers peace and quiet then this is the place for you. If you want to be able to walk into the town and leave the car then I wouldn't recommend as it is quite far out. The hotel has friendly staff, clean room ( there were a few choice stains on the bedspread though ) and a big plus, the heating in the room was perfect, the radiator was on so room was nice and cosy when we arrived. Plenty of hot water for a shower after a day walking and travelling. However, after deciding to wash my hair the next morning as was very tired and couldnt be bothered faffing around with drying it I was disappointed to find that there was not a drop of hot or even warm water. I went down to reception to be told there had been an issue with water the day before and it seems it was still on the blink. As we were leaving that day it meant i couldn't have a shower or wash my hair and I left the hotel with alot of disappointment. I understand these things happen and that is why I have still been generous with my rating as the staff were nice, the food in restaurant, though not tried looked appetising, and the room was quite large and with good heating ( which in Jan is a necessity ). The water problem and stained bedspread the only things to mark this hotel down on.
