The resort of Serre-Chevalier is home to the Village, designed as a large hamlet of about fifteen chalets. Its typical rooftops and facades in wood and stone, is in total harmony with the decor. Inside, the spaciousness and warm decoration of the lounges in the style of family rooms create a holiday location. Everyone can thoroughly devote themselves to their favourite activities, whether in the Snow Garden, on the slopes of the ski domain, in the indoor swimming pool or in the Club Med Spa*.
A highly enjoyable week spoiled at the last minute
Reviewed By D OThe overall ClubMed experience was both fun and relaxing if a little idiocyncratic to those used to more independent travel but we got used to it and eventually thoroughly enjoyed the "show" at the end of the week. The integrated and all inclusive service was just as promised and virtually faultless - removing much of the hassle associated with ski trips (passes, hire shop etc). The staff were friendly and helpful and although the hotel is not new but it is comparable or better to much of the ski accommodation on offer elsewhere. The food and drink served are perfectly adequate (even occasionally superb) and of a surprising variety given the scale of the overall operation (feeding 700 three times a day). Unfortunately one of the adults in our party contracted a serious stomach bug on the last day, which given the "family friendly" buffet did feel slightly inevitable but really spoiled an otherwise delightful holiday. As repeating that illness is not a risk we would accept again this was disappointedly likely to be our only ClubMed holiday but still hope to return to Serre Chevilier again.

Reviewed By ZotravelclNice hotel with many activities, we started our day with an excellent breakfast with a lot of choice then we went to the ski room to ski all day long, at the end of the day we went to the spa to enjoy and get a massage and in the evening we found each time a different restaurant for dinner, it was perfect

Loveliest team, Great Food & Great Location
Reviewed By Hetti SWe stayed with our son for four nights to take advantage of the great snow this season. I cannot praise the team at this cosy family hotel highly enough. They were super friendly and helpful and made our stay a happy and memorable one. The food too was excellent - better in fact than I’ve had in some 5 star ski hotels; and they had a pretty good wine list too. The hotel is in a great spot in the village and just a short walk to the ski lift. All in all, great value for money, great people (who speak perfect French, English & Spanish) - we will be back!!

The Rock Noir & Spa is a boutique hotel based in Serre Chevalier with an enviable location at least 20 meters from the main ski gondola, ski school meeting and ski shop equipment. It's a perfect lovely resort for a ski holiday. You can found a restaurant and a spa with indoor pool, sauna and different treatment and massage with Thémaé brand. Each room have a mountain view and hight-tech equipment. Access to the swimming pool is authorized for children from 5 to 15 years old from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm.
Wonderful hotel in Serre Chevalier
Reviewed By N1757KPnicolabWe stayed at Hotel Rock Noir for 8 days on a family and friends ski trip and it was such a find. The evening meals were of a very high quality and the staff on reception were so helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. The location directly opposite the gondola was very handy and avoided long walks with skis and boots. I would highly recommend this hotel we had a lovely stay and will return.

Disappointing experience with reservation

I have made a reservation via Booking.com in October 2017 and after that I was trying contact the hotel to confirm my booking. The phone call without answer. Finally in the middle of October I have found the another phone number and I have spoken with someone from the company of this hotel. He advised me to write an email and I did. But no answer at all again. I finally spoke with another staff from the company two weeks ago. But she told me, that they couldn’t find my reservation made via Booking.com (of course I have sent her a copy of my confirmation of reservation). Really disappointing, because I am preparing my trip half a year and a few weeks before it I still have no sure. Sad. Disgusting.

Reviewed By Z2058EBkrismThe service was disgusting! It was cold, they stopped the heating during the second day! It wasn’t clean at all! In the end we were suppose to clean the whole apartment, to make the beds ready for the next group and to clean the toilet too, so they can return our deposit!

The restaurant is an extra special bonus…we haven’t been bothered to leave because it’s twice as cute as anything on the same street.

L’Alpaga forced to close from March 9th 2019!
Reviewed By 752kaykIn August 2018 my husband and I booked a once-in-a-lifetime 6 week trip from 9th March 2019 at the L’Alpaga, to celebrate the start of our retirement. Yesterday (8th Feb) we received an email from Johanna in Relation Clients, saying and I quote: “SADLY WE ARE FORCED TO CLOSE OUR RESIDENCE ON THOSE DATES. WE ARE DEEPLY SORRY FOR THE INCONVENIENCE”. This was one day after P&V had taken the final payment from our bank account. No reason for the closure was given (photo of email attached). Friends and family are set to join us at various times during our stay to ski and celebrate our retirement with us. Some will stay in our apartment and some have made independent bookings with P&V on our recommendation. We have all booked ski passes, ski hire, lessons etc. in Serre Chevalier which are unlikely to be refunded. They have offered us alternative accommodation in Vars, 35 Km away from where our family will be staying. This is completely unacceptable and nonsensical. We have not yet received the courtesy of a reply to the email we sent immediately asking for an explanation. This may be because they sent the email 5 minutes after they closed their office for the weekend. There is something very wrong here, despite saying the residence will be closed from 9th March when we checked they were still selling the same accommodation on their web-site. Be very wary, this is the second time P&V have changed our booking at the last minute, we put the first experience down to a mistake but this is looking like a policy!
