We recently stayed for five nights at the Hampton Inn & Suites Hudson and their caring and well trained staff really stand out. Emily welcomed us warmly and made sure we got a room that fit our needs. She also gave us spot on recommendations and we looked forward to chatting with her. We also observed Emily helping many other guests and no request seemed too much trouble. Emily works HARD even when no one is watching her! Sherry provided delicious and varied breakfast offerings and the food was fresh and hot at different times. The breakfast area was also spotless and inviting enough to linger over coffee. Alicia was very friendly and welcoming despite still being in training and she really knows the Hudson area! But the mark of a really GREAT business is how they respond when there is an issue. On our last night, a crew of rowdy boys got totally out of hand. We became concerned for their safety when they started body slamming each other into walls and repeatedly locking each other of their room. Maria was quick to respond and did everything she could do to resolve the situation. Mara even kept her cool after an enraged mother refused to intervene and yelled at both of us because we should "expect boys to cause trouble in a hotel". Maria still remained calm and professional throughout the interaction. Your staff is a true credit to this hotel and we really look forward to our next stay!

We were not too sure about staying here. The front desk man said is was safe. We looked at the room and decided to stay. It was quiet and very clean.

Great place to stay
Reviewed By Kathy WThis is my go-to hotel whenever I make the 3 hour trip to visit my brother and his family. I’ve been staying here for 3 years and have never had a bad experience. During Covid I felt good about the protocols in place with reservations for pool time to avoid contact with anyone outside your bubble. The pool area was sanitized between each reservation. There were also hand sanitizer packets in each room. I never noticed any problems with maintenance or housekeeping and the breakfast always well thought out. I definitely recommend this property

The planning that went into hotel from the most amazing mattress (learned it is a Beauty rest Hospitality) the soft sheets, the lighting and love the window treatment. They had I think it was Bigelow shampoo, conditioner, shower gel in a wall mounted unit in the shower that smelled amazing. The pool and hot tub were great and always had a well stocked towel area. The breakfast was a full buffet bar with bisquits and gravy, scrambled eggs, turkey sausage and pork sausage. Bagels, muffins, wheat bread, cinnamon bread and english muffins. a minute pancake maker that was quick and efficient and spit those pancakes out piping hot. And of course, milk, coffee, hot chocolate and teas. The breakfast bar attendant was amazing, he did the work of about 3 people buzzing around doing an awesome job keeping everything replenished and a super nice guy. The reception desk had nice and fun workers as well and really wanted to make sure we were taken care of during our stay. Thumbs up to this most amazing hotel and best service we have ever received at a hotel. Wish I had gotten more photo's of the room, and pool area.

DON'T STAY HERE!!!!
Reviewed By lindavX2958RNWe stayed here April 22-24. First night, a guy pushed our door open and crawled in bed with one of us. We were told the locks were just changed, so apparently ours did not work. Shame on us for not using the latch, (grandchildren were the last ones in for the night). Also, the pool was not available. It was :under maintenan" . Looked like black mold problem. If you don't provide all of the amenities, why do you charge full price. Just as in previous reviews,, the manager refused to talk to me and Whydham will not step in. I think it's a shame that a company really DOES NOT care about SAFETY!!!!

First of all, the property is a rare treasure: a perfectly preserved 1884 Victorian mansion in its original splendor complete with stained glass, ornate woodwork, working fireplaces with bespoke tile accents, and architectural surprises to explore on every floor. We stayed over the New Year's holiday and every corner of the house was still bedecked with festive Christmastime decorations. The breakfasts were fantastic with unique local-inspired recipes and ingredients, and while the breakfast in bed option was tempting, it was nice to meet the other guests around the breakfast table. We would definitely stay again and heartily recommend the Phipps Inn for couples, families, or solo explorers.

Reviewed By Julie EMaybe we got the room that hasn't been updated, it still has an olive green wall, old curtains, and rug. The bed we had was so hard I am still in pain days later. Price was nice enough, quality of our room was awful. Oh and couldn't these places get normal size toilets in them. We had a kiddie toilet.
