Willow River State Park

This park is great for a little getaway from the hustle and bustle of the city. It's conveniently located by I-94. It's very quiet and the trails are large enough to not feel crowded when others are there. The falls are beautiful in any season and definitely a must see. The campsites are also secluded and you don't feel like you are close to one another. This is easily one of my favorite state parks!

Lakefront Park

Reviewed By Triponeill - Metro Minneapolis-Saint Paul, Minnesota

Hudson is the destination for many Twin Cities, who can't get away for more than a day. Lakefront Park is unique -- due to the almost mile long frontage on the Saint Croix, a tribute to a community with vision. Parks on the water so many river cities, are dwarfed by Lakefront Park. Hate to use "literally," but this park literally has something for everybody. The list is exhaustive: sandy beach, manicured green spaces with picnic shade, running and walking river path, boating and fishing -- Even a big band shell!

My wife and I attended the Phipps Center's presentation of Noel Coward's "Blithe Spirit" over the weekend. I was very impressed by the production, the acting and the venue. The space is warm and inviting and complimented the quality of the production, which was first-rate. What a wonderful evening!

This is a very interesting house with a great tour that takes you through history!! Many different time periods and items to see from over the years. Great tour through the 2 stories of the house plus a view from the top. Love that this house has been preserved for so long and that they continue to tell the story of 4 generations of the family living in the same house.

American Sky Brewing Co

Reviewed By TryppAdams - Minneapolis, Minnesota

I stopped in on a Saturday and enjoyed a few beers at American Sky Brewing. They seem to have different themes, and specials to keep people coming in. I think Sunday they have free bacon. There were free tours going on while I was there, and I devoured a $2 soft pretzel that wasn't quite soft anymore. This is located up on the hill and back in an industrial area, not where you would expect a party to be but perhaps where the best ones are.
Beer is a personal taste, but I can't say I fell in love. If I was in the area or looking to get a group of friends together in Hudson, this may be a fun place to start. The bar has a crazy slant like an airplane wing and definitely lets you know when you have had to many.
