Reviewed By hans-jaguarFor our second overnight stay on our trip in the north, we chose the “Quinta da Cruz” in Vila Méa. There was ample parking space at the Quinta, the staff was moderately friendly. The room was big and clean, and we also had a snack in the hotel. There is a nice garden available, swimming pool and the is located in a quiet area. The negative points, especially for a hotel that has 4 stars, we can mention the following: 1 – We couldn't use the terrace at the room, because we couldn't open the door! 2 - The TV was Small and had few channels, and only the Portuguese channels had some quality, but the other channels didn't have the slightest picture quality. 3 - The bed is in need of replacement as the upholstery was peeling at the head end and also at the bottom! 4 - As for the bathroom, the hairdryer was broken, and the socket of the same cannot be used for a normal appliance, so you had to go in the room for a usable socket! 5- The shower is big, but incontinent, after taking a shower practically half the bathroom is flooded! The room window was completely wet when we got up in the morning, and since we couldn't open the door to the terrace, we couldn't ventilate the room either! When checking out, we reported this anomaly to the staff, who showed no interest at all and did not reply. These are not conditions at all for a 4 stars hotel.

Casa do Ribeirinho is a local accommodation, registered in the National Tourism Registry of Portugal with the number 76400 / AL. The house was built in 1967, having recently been restored to provide a unique accommodation experience, due to its privileged conditions and location. We are located in the historic center of Amarante, opposite the river and the monastery of S. Gonçalo, steps from most of the best restaurants and bars in the city, the forest park, the municipal pool, the market and the Amadeo de Sousa Cardoso museum . The house has available to its guests, in addition to their respective accommodations, several common areas, namely, TV room with fireplace, dining rooms, fully equipped kitchen, outside porches with tables and sofas, swimming pool, large gardens with grass and shade, bar, barbecue, outdoor wood stove, and other shared facilities.

The leaving room and dinning room are used to serve the breakfast, but you can also enjoy a drink with other guests or in family. You feel really at home. There are also 4 free parking (first come, first served) and a nice pool area. Restaurants and downtown is reached within 5 minutes (walking distance)

Reviewed By venice1912Stayed for one night at this beautiful small hotel. Rooms are well designed and modern. Ours was a superior river view with a balcony overlooking the garden and river. The staff are friendly and efficient. The room was very clean. The terrace serves light meals and fabulous cakes. The pool in the garden is a bonus. I would highly recommend.

Ficamos hospedados no Loft ,espaço bem decorado , limpo e que possuía todos os itens necessários para cozinhar . Wi-Fi gratuito disponível em todo o alojamento . Pequeno almoço um pouco aquém das nossas expectativas , apesar de percebemos a importância de não desperdiçar podiam ter produtos da região e variar mais nomeadamente na fruta . Este é servido numa cesta e entregue no dia anterior , pelo que os hóspedes terão de preparar o próprio pequeno almoço . Boa relação qualidade /preço . Recomendamos para quem procura sossego !

We can get in and out of the aquatic park when we want, we come to lunch home one of the days and we go back to the park. Friendly staff. Accommodation is nice, quiet, close to the center of Amarante (5m by car).

Reviewed By sosobleueBonjour, nous avons loué dans ce gîte , très jolie , très typique . Le GPS ne connais pas mais mais GOOGLE MAP oui. Dana la chambre très correct et le petit déjeuner et très bien , vous vous débrouillez tout seul mais il passe pour faire vaisselle et autre. Dans le petit village il y a un resto absolument parfait très sympas il vous cuisine à la demande , un bon moment à passer , bonne continuation.

Reviewed By E FWe lazen lovende recentie over dit onderkomen op een bekende boekingssite. Vreemd. Wij hebben een totaal andere ervaring. Het onderkomen bevindt zich in een historisch pand met een prachtig potentieel. De huidige eigenaren laten het echter versloffen. De tuinen zijn slecht onderhouden. Op oudere foto's zie je een sfeervol terras met leuke zitjes. Nu was er totaal geen sfeer. Overal onkruid en nergens een leuk zitje te bekennen, zelfs geen stoel. We konden op een stenen muurtje zitten. We werden niet onvriendelijk, maar kort ontvangen door de zoon van de eigenaresse. We voelden ons weinig welkom. Alleen het hoogst noodzakelijke werd ons verteld en getoond. Vervolgens werden we aan ons lot overgelaten. De kamer en badkamer waren ruim genoeg, maar erg donker. De matrassen waren oud en hard. De volgende ochtend kwam de eigenaresse ons het ontbijt brengen. Ook dat was wel erg simpel vergeleken met wat we bij andere (vaak zelfs goedkopere) B&B's in Noord Portugal kregen. We hadden 2 nachten geboekt, maar na 1 nacht vonden we het wel voldoende en zijn we vertrokken.
