Top 10 Hostels hotel in Cascais, Portugal

April 28, 2023 Timmy Ribble

A coastal town just 20 miles west of Lisbon, Cascais was once a small fishing village, but its idyllic scenery attracted the attention of artists, writers and expelled European nobility in the 20th century. Today, it still attracts high society, but all society comes in force to enjoy the gorgeous beaches and adventure options like sailing and surfing. The Conde de Castro Guimarães Museum, a former palace, is now open to the public and displays an impressive collection of art and artifacts.

I had many reservations before my trip, as you do as a solo traveller, but it was just everything I wanted. The hostel was beautiful and homely, I met so many solo travellers and would recommend it to everyone, young old, male or female. The whole experience reminded me why I love to travel alone and the surfing, yoga, group meals and other activities were well organised and really good fun. We even got blessed with two free breathwork classes which were phenomenal. Thank you so much for my stay I can’t wait to try the other locations

I came here as a solotraveler backpacking through Portugal. This hostel deserves 5 stars because it met all my needs. The location is very central and the hostel has a very nice terrace, overlooking the street leading up to the seaside+ you can see the sea too ofcourse. As a cherry on top of all there was a private Samba concert on the terrace. However my dancemoves are terrible I really enjoyed my night and stay in general. Special thanks to Rosangela for helping me out wherever she could. If I return to Cascais I know where to stay. Kind regards Thomas
