We had dinner at this restaurant as part of a group. A companion and I ordered a bottle of wine, and gave the payment for the bottle to the group leader, who was paying the total bill for the entire group. After the leader paid and left, the waiter, obviously a seasoned professional who saw an opportunity, presented us with a bill for the bottle and demanded payment. Since our leader had left, we had no choice but to pay (or call the police, which in Spain would have been of doubtful use.) The restaurant is staffed by thieves who should not be trusted. Diner beware!Dear Customer.Once we have researched your experience in our establishment, we have verified that your guide paid the group invoice by credit card. SHE (TOUR GUIDE) PAID ONLY THE CONTRACTED SERVICES. SHE DIDN´T PAY THE WINE BOTTLE. Unfortunately through Tripadvisor we can´t attach this information for everyone to see, so we would appreciate it if you would contact us to send you a copy of the dinner bill, as well as the visa ticket, and you can check that what we tell you is true.It´s very serious to accuse someone of a thief, so please talk with your guide to clarify what happened.OUR ESTABLISHMENT NEVER COLLECTED THE BOTTLE OF WINE TWICE.Best regards,The Restaurant Manager.

One of the many restaurants servibg the local specialties of cochinillo, castellana soup, and beans "judias de la granja". The judias and soup were very bland, and somewhat lacking in flavour. The cochinillo was fine, but nothing special and lacking in meat. Sorry....Wouldnt go back.

We stopped here for lunch. The food was good and not too expensive. We had a mixture of salad, sopa Castellana and Chirizo, and all tasted well. Service was polite and friendly, but slow. We would visit again. Thank you very match for your remark.We will wait for your next visit to Segovia!

First evening we had the conchinillo which was excellent.Stuffed peppers for starters.Wine, bread included and chupito ti finish.It was so good we returned tonight. Rico menú, tanto el infantil, como el turÃstico con entrecot (el menú de cochinillo habÃa que encargarlo). Los judiones estaban buenos, la carne con patatas también, y los postres no están mal. Lo único el comedor lo tiene abandonado, hacia tiempo que no veÃa un comedor tan dejado. Buen servicio.

Luego de buscar en varios lugares donde estaba abierta la cocina para cenar en dÃa jueves llegamos al Canastillo.Nos atendió su dueño. Simpático y eficiente.La sorpresa llegó con la comida.Mi ensalada César extraordinaria. New owners refurbished with impeccable taste in Dec 2016.Salmorejo good (too much garlic, too thin), calamares good, Beefburger excellent, cheescake excellent, wide selction of red wine by the glass from all over Spain, service charming and unobtrusive.Would definitey go back for aperitivo wi pincho or full meal.
