A very pleasant, yet simply classic village restaurant. Lovely service, log fire and nice linen. The menu was exactly what you expect from a rural restaurant. Foie gras, snails, frogs legs, seafood, duck, steak etc. Profiteroles to die for - huge with ice cream filling and home made chocolate sauce. Good value at e23 for 3 course, e17 for 2. A more extensive 5 course is available at e33everything is home made and lovely.

Alight lunch of quiche, salad wine and dessert was adequate though in surroundings of such glamour one might expect a little more quality. Service was friendly and helpful but the overall organisation mildly chaotic.

Kind of basic foods, nothing special. The main dishes are salads, and some other dishes as spaghetti or steaks. Not really fancy all in all.

Etablissement très correct qui propose une cuisine simple et savoureuse pour un prix très étudié à savoir 13e pour buffet d'entrées, plat, fromage, dessert,vin et café, que demander de plus sachant que la qualité est au rendez-vous, l'accueil charmant...Pour manger en semaine, et se changer les idées en sortant de chez soi, c'est la bonne adresse.

Nous étions de passage et avons trouvé sur notre route le Bar du Château. Nous avons déjeuner avec une formule entrée plat dessert, La cuisine était bonne et le service rapide⦠la gérante très gentille⦠lors d'un prochain déplacement nous y retourneront.

Wednesday in Le Neubourg is market day. Itâs a huuuuge market with all kinds of mouthwatering products from the nearby farmers, butchers, bakers....When you need a break from the power shopping, stop by this cafe and have âun cafeâ at one of the tables outside, while you watch all the hustle and bustle and enjoy a moment of peace.

This is the golf club house restaurant, which caters mostly to golfers. It opens until fairly late in the afternoon (depending on affluence). The food - especially the suggestion du jour - is consistently good and affordable.Golfers should also take note that the Golf du Champ de Bataille is probably the best one in Normandy and very much worth a detour!

This is the best surprise in Le Neubourg -it was Sunday lunchtime and very few places were open and anyway none of them looked very inviting then thanks to Trip Advisor we ventured one street back from the main road ( maybe 50 meters) and found ourselves in a completely different world! A superb find! Modern tasteful decor , incredibly friendly staff, very generous little snacks and great food. We chose to eat from the "menu" 3 courses for 30 euros what great value.Would 100% recommend and BTW the toilets are really clean and nicely maintained which is a bonus!

Conveniently located in the central town square, next to the church, at lunchtime, you can enjoy the good weather on the outside seating (though still on the public pavement where passers-by are not an exception).Delicious food (my burger was divine) and almost quite the right price (I'd say there was about 10% extra).Toilet was not necessarily spik and span as they should have been. After having checked Trip Advisor for a good local restaurant, we still decided to asked the lady at reception for her advice and,On cherche encore, was the choice again. So we asked her to book a table, good move as it seems that they only have one sitting and the place was full.The staff was extremely knowledgeable and polite and the food even better, very reasonably priced.Strongly recommended if you fancy a gourmet meal, amazingly the deserts need to be ordered with your meal, because, they bake every one freshly while you eat your meal.Better than five stars
