My wife and I (and our dog) visited this restaurant on my birthday on a recommendation from a friend. The friendly couple who run it, apply a simple but effective system whereby a single menu is offered at a fixed price. On Saturday night we paid â¬20 each for a four course meal comprising a starter of Charentais melon, various charcuterie and green salad, followed by some very good beef (served with sauteed potatoes, grilled tomatoes and salad), followed by a cheese course and then dessert (profiteroles). The house wines were acceptable and the total bill was very reasonable at â¬50 for the two of us. The place has a lovely ambience, most of the clientele were evidently local, and the simple menu was cleverly designed to avoid much actual cooking. If I could suggest a couple of things, it would be to be a bit more adventurous with the cheese course by offering more variety, and to improve the profiteroles with some freshly made warm chocolate sauce - the chocolate sauce served to us was disappointing. But all in all this is a terrific place and well worth a visit if you're in the area.

We had dinner here on 2 succesive nights so that we could fully explore the interesting menu. Marc Prunieres, the chef-owner trained in Paris with Alain Ducasse and worked at Taillevant.The dishes were creative and showcased regional specialities. Little touches such as the clear sugar confection with poppy and sesame seeds in the ice cream at dessert was amazing! The portions were a little small, but this is France, after all. Although some of the diners were tourists, the majority appeared to be locals.

Pizzeria Le Petit Resto.During our trip in the region, we found this small Restaurant â Pizzeria, so we decided to try it out.It is a very clean restaurant, very friendly staff (Owner + wife).We both had asked two different pizzas, and we honestly can tell that it are the best pizzas we ever had.So we talked to the owner to ask him about his pizzas, and he told us that his secret for his pizzas is that everything is Home Made, so he does not buy the flower already prepared for baking, he properly is preparing his flower for the bottoms and everything needed for a good pizza, so we can tell you that it are âArtisanal Pizzasâ.We would love to take this restaurant back with us to Portugal, they are just wonderful, and so we warmly can recommend this small but exceptional restaurant.

We stopped for lunch at Hotel du Centre and were immediately impressed by the surroundings. Clean, subdued, elegant. We've always had a theory that if you see linen table cloths, it's going to cost. Not true. Two of us ate a really good lunch, including drinks, for â¬39. I had a plentiful salad with magre de canard (duck breast) and gésiers (preserved duck stomach). At first description, duck stomach doesnât sound all that great, but for those who like foie gras, the preserved livers of geese, whatâs the big deal? If anyone can make offal taste amazing it is the French. And at Hotel du Centre, my lunch tasted perfect.Don't hesitate to use their restaurant. It's right in the centre of town in one corner of the market place.Slow down and savour the food. It's well worth relaxing for!

j'y suis allé un soir par curiosité, il y avait une soirée musicale. Repas très cher pour ce que c'est, musique pas bien du tout, c'est tout petit et le service est juste passable. Sans être dure, j'éviterai à l'avenir ce restaurant je n'ai pas du tout aimé et pas envie de réessayer

Stopped by off chance late on a Monday evening as little open in Gramat at this time.We were greeted with a friendly smile despite there being only one waiter to serve alltables. His English and our French were limited but managed to answer our questions on certain items on the menu.The food arrived hot and freshly cooked, the duck burger was much appreciated by ourson. We loved that it was still pleasantly warm at 9pm in May and able to enjoyour meal al fresco.The bistro is situated on a quiet street with a rustic charm which added to the ambienceof the evening. We will definitely visit again when in Gramat.

This pizzeria was definitely the best in the area. It's a reasonably small family run place with brilliant outdoor seating- great for the summer months. The pizzas are delicious, well priced and there are a huge variety to choose from. Very much recommended!

My wife and I recently had a holiday in The Lot and we received a recommendation to try this restaurant for lunch. We enjoyed it so much, we went back. From our arrival and greeting to the pleasant surroundings, it was special. The food was excellent and the presentation, what you would expect in a high quality restaurant. Anyone venturing in the Dordogne, Lot Region, you must try this place. Pure quality.

Had family holiday lunch. Loved the atmosphere. The owner is very kind and attentive and Speaks english. Kids had a well prepared pasta and we had a lovely menue terroir with foies gras followed by a well prepared duck

Had the gastronomic menu.The fish was amazing, perfectly prepared, close to perfection.Main course was good, just to little veg and they where very much overcooked. When noticed to the waiter he replied" Ah really?"The menu was correct, better then the average in the area, but for me was not as good as expected.The service of the owners was really good, the daughter is a great host, makes you feel welcome and gave good advices. Service in both French and English was perfect.Terras was packed but still comfortable to sit. For us it was a pity that one table left his children run around between the tables all the time, just to have a bit free time theirselves, this shouldn't be the case in a restaurant of this status.
