Friends invited us to join them for dinner at this restaurant, a place we'd driven past so many times previously without stopping. So glad we accepted the invitation! The restaurant has a splendid outdoors dining area beside the Grosne river, but it is very popular so you need to book well ahead... we ate inside and dined royally. There is a magnificent antipasto dish the size of an enormous main dish, similarly for the salads. The pizzas are excellent, the desserts extensive and the service quick, efficient, friendly and charming. There is a wide choice of dishes, good parking, and excellent service. One (minor) negative is the noise from the TGV trains that speed past the other side of the river... they are noisy but very quick!

Almost everything served at Le Pain sur la Table is organic and locally sourced. Every day at lunch there is a limited but tasty selection. Sometimes during the high season (June, July, August) the wait is long as the kitchen gets overwhelmed since everything is prepared fresh to order, so don't come if you're in a hurry. But if you like interesting, healthy, organic food that is also delicious, this is your best bet for miles around for that sort of fare. It is also a bakery which makes fantastic bread. I almost choked and spurted coffee out my nose when I read the negative review claiming the food was bland -- au contraire, this is one of the few French restaurants around that isn't afraid to use fresh herbs and spices in refreshingly original ways. I've never had a bad meal here and I must have enjoyed lunch here about 20 times.

Le Comptoir is in the main tourist drag and has a mix of indoor/outdoor seating. The menu is compact but ours and the dishes around us were well presented, well prepared and fairly priced. A simple Charolais steak, frites and salad was excellent and good Burgundy Pinot noir available by the glass. Service was brisk, efficient and friendly.

This is a very interesting restaurant located close to the Abby de Cluny. Has nice old style atmosphere with large wooden beams in the dining room we were seated. The service is good, the food was nice, not exceptional, and the prices are reasonable. A good choice when visiting Cluny for a nice lunch. It has some outdoor seating area that would be nice on any warm and sunny day.

Enjoyed a one plate lunch here following a visit the the nearby Abbey. Nicely done steak tartare with very good chips washed down with a welcome chilled beer. Nice service and good washrooms.

Stopped here, right in the middle of Cluny's main street, for a relax and refresh on a very hot afternoon. Excellent location, very friendly and helpful waitress. Service was prompt and unhurried.Lovely shaded on-street location and relaxing atmosphere. Had we been staying longer in Cluny we'd definitely have gone back for a meal.

Stoped by for a night after a long tiring drive on the motor way. This hotel is simply lovely with the charming combination of the modern and the ancient style. Was allocated at room no.16 at first I was concerned after read the previous negative review of the others, but guys this room is just perfect! The decoration of the antique bed and wardrobe are just really unique and charming, and very comfortable with the fluffy duvet. And food, oh food, here we go...THUMPS UPS FOR YOUR COOKING CHEF!!!! I had a menu Thais with the yummy chicken satay, followed by the curry and that homemade chocolate dessert for a really good price and great selection of wines. The restaurant atmospheres and the decorations was very lovely as well. I had a great meal by myself with the great wine and lovely chatting with the hosts and of course the chef came to checked on every tables if their meals was alright, which was a very nice gesture. Over all, I was very happy with my choice of the accommodation and meal, I will recommend this place to all my friends. I will definitely choose this place again if I ever passes by.

First of all, thank you for the hospitality! We came to the restaurant quite late and not all together, but all the stuff was so nice and cooperative!The menu is simple, much more easier if you understand French, but if not, you can ask the service and you get perfect recommendation.And yes the food is just perfect! Thank you and we come for a lunch!

we got to Cluny to visit the Abbey and after some research we booked this restaurant. what a great choice, the service was outstanding and the food.... ah the food...we got two menus of terroir and the other with fish, they were both amazing.the prices are ok with the menu costing a little less than EUR 30 with appetiser, main and desert.at the back of the restaurant there is a "kind of terrace" that gives you view to the river, it is a great environment for a peaceful meal.Hello many thanks for your message and we are happy you enjoy your meal.
