This is a pleasant little family restaurant, with attractive décor in the indoor section. Thereâs a large roofed in terrace at the back. It seems to attract family groups of local people as well as tourists. The fixed menu allowed for three choices of starter and mains, and the food was homely if not exactly exciting. Dessert choice on the fixed menu was restricted and on the plain side - a blow, having seen some showy puddings served nearby.

This place is humming with lots of satisfied customers. The evening we went it buzzed with atmosphere. Staff up beat and engaging laughing and joking with customers and flying through the service.With defrul entrecote, great veg, creme brulee was superb. Great to see and experience any establishment that us really on fire. Great Great Great!

We were attending a water trekking activity and decided to have some lunch before, we stumble upon this place and decided to order a sandwich. My sister ordered but mid way through the lady ignored her and started to serve someone else. My mum then ordered and when it came to my turn she started to serve another family ahead of me! I ordered 2 ham baguettes which cost â¬8 when she asked if I wanted a drink I said no Thankyou , to which she immediately said well you can't sit outside! As they did not provide me with a ticket number when I ordered she came out shouting and waving baguettes in everyone's face, i pointed out they were ours 4 times before she handed them over.My whole family were sat there eating and had a drink, she came out and stared shouting at my husband, she also shouted at another couple who had only ordered 1 drink between them and told them to move.We spent around â¬40 in total and she still wouldn't let us sit outside!The lady was very rude and clearly doesn't need our business if she is going to behave like this! Maybe she had a problem with English people(even though we ordered in French), As all the French that walked in had preferentially treatment.Eat elsewhere I know what I would do with the the baguette if I had another chance.

This is just off the main square in Castellane. It looked lovely with tables and chairs with parasols outside in a small courtyard in front of the hotel. We picked our table and were promptly served. 2 of our party ordered pave boeuf which was the days special.It was very difficult to eat and not the best meat. We were not asked how our meal was. Would not eat here again. There also seemed only to be one toilet for all the guests that were eating for both male and female. Not the best.

Chosen because of the reviews in Tripadvisor, this restaurant fully merits its reputation. Nothing but simple fresh produce lovingly prepared, very friendly, quick service. It's located on a quiet pedestrian street, in a small courtyard. Only open from April through the end of September.

I'm not sure you'll find a restaurant like this anywhere else in the world. We had our crepes and drank a pitcher of wine as the sun set over the gorge, it was perfect. Only caution - If you don't know that "abeilles" means "bees", be advised if you're allergic or very afraid of them, there are in fact many bees buzzing around.

I had the charcuterie to start - a fair spread of smoked meats was served. For the main I ordered "lamb rib" which was simple lamb chops fried in herbs and served with roasted potatoes, and a kind of ratatouille-like vegetable mix. The service was good and the small restaurant has a nice, traditional and friendly atmosphere.

We spent a wonderful evening at this cosy restaurant in Castellane whilst staying at the Gite de Chasteuil. The service was perfect and the traditional regional cuisine was clearly prepared with love and attention at this family run restaurant.We would definitely return!

In the middle of an area that is filled with cramped, 4-star-campsites with entertainment, water slides and everything that comes with them, this nice little campsite is a great place to be! Right on the Route Napoleon, it makes a great stop for motorcyclists!The sanitary is basic, but it's enough. The pitches are spacious, and the view is incredible! The places in the back are the best, they will give you the best sunshine in the evening. The nights can be cold though!Besides the view, the best thing about this place is the bistrot. Great food, drinks, and a great (musical) atmosphere! Run by 3 nice people, who happen to be very motorcycle-minded. Especially Bertrand, although he might harass you about being so stupid not to ride a Ducati...

This cafe by the fountain is delightful. The crêpes are very tasty and of good proportion. We also had a tuna salad which felt really fresh. The service is very good.
