Fabulous night enjoyed in the company of a group of friends after a hard days skiing. Great Live band playing some excellent live tunes. Beer to suit all tastes helped it to become a memorable evening. As English tourists also felt very welcome, nice friendly atmosphere and actually were bought a round of drinks âon the house... nice touch Sortie 16

For good honest french food the Demi Lune Hotel is the Ideal place, set menu, no choice, but well worth the 11.50 euros. 4 courses with wine, cannot beat it. Always busy lunch times.

Je me suis retrouvée par hasard dans ce petit resto et je n'ai pas du tout été déçue. Il faisait un temps de chien dehors et la soupe courgette/kiri était un vrai petit bonheur et m'a réchauffée, quant à ma salade de pâtes aux fromages elle était copieuse et très bonne. C'est une petite adresse très sympas, le cadre est joli et la gérante très sympas. Adresse à retenir !!!

We recently bought a house in the Baronnies and were introduced to the pleasures of eating at the Auberge Basque by the vendor. We have dined there many times and Stéphanie and Hervé have never failed to make us feel like valued guests. The menu is inventive and we have never been disappointed with our choice of dish. Although the restaurant is not close to the A64, it is well worth taking an extra ten minutes to experience service as it is meant to be. If you want to take advantage of their fine selection of wines and full bar, they also have rooms available.

We ended up here as there was nowhere else open in nearby Lannemezan this Thursday night. It's on the way out of town and looks rather like someone's house. The entrance feels like a hotel lobby. Inside it's fine however - you can sit inside or out. The waitress was charming and helpful. The food is really very good. The amuse bouche of small squares of smoked salmon, apple and shallots, served with an endive leaf in a tiny pot was a happy combination I hadn't tried before. I had 'chevreuil' which the waitress with a giggle explained, as we didn't know, was a bit like bambi, ie venison. It was deliciously moist and well seasoned. Everything on the plate was just as good and the flavours went together well. Husband had lamb and this was also very good. Puddings of apple crumble and chocolate mousse were also enjoyed. One of the best surprises was the half bottle of Bouscasse wine - just right with our main courses and deliciously rounded and maturely fruity in the mouth. Total price 60⬠which seemed more than fair. The only negative points for me are a lack of atmosphere - not helped by insipid 'lift music' - and the plastic table cloths.

Whilst many old fashioned basic true French restaurants are closing in our area of the Hautes Pyrenees, this one provides a welcoming ambience , excellent service and good reasonably priced menus for fixed price lunches and evening meals. A pleasure to experience the old fashioned style of home cooking, and the advantage of a family restaurant.

We broke a journey from Toulouse to Lourdes to pop in for lunch.Wow. Really wow. Incredibly friendly, and between our limited French and their limited English, we managed, with smiles all round. The food we chose was a lunch special that day. 7.50 euros for a massive plate of lomo, pork loin chops and frites and salad. It was really delicious, and incredible value.A great experience indeed. We were going to call in again on the way back until we saw that sadly they are closed on Sunday!Merci infiniment pour ce commentaire. Effectivement, nous ne sommes pas très douées en anglais mais le résultat est là .. Nous avons réussi à nous comprendre.Encore merci

We've been visiting the restaurant at the hotel for a number of years now, sometimes as a couple, sometimes 'en famille' to celebrate a birthday etc. While the menu can be very limited and the opening hours restricted, the food is excellent, the welcome extremely warm and generous, and offers great value. Can't wait until we're visiting again in the summer...

Great food, nice and clean surroundings, and efficient service. We chose a single course instead of the traditional Plat de Jour, which was well cooked and nicely presented. There were 4 of us that ate here. 2 had the fish and I and the other one had the duck. All of us had the salad, dessert, appertif and wine.The owner did all the cooking. He only buys enough food for the evening reservation. The food was excellent. Every time I come to the region I always order the duck. It was tender with the right amount of chew. Served with a sauce. Just done perfectly. The chocolate cake was also delicious.The owner did that one too.The recommended wine was excellent.
