11â¬50 pour des pizza banales (dont une carbonisée) sauce tomate de chez Metro ( comme la plupart des ingrédients des plats) petits steaks tartare trop chers, salade cesar qui n en est pas une (vinaigrette), dessert généreux mais ingrédients industriels...salle ok...service très limite...(demande d eau de pain non exécuté la première fois)Je comprend pas que ce type de restaurant (il n est pas le seul malheureusement) ne daigne pas faire un minimum de qualité pour attirer la clientèle....sauce tomate maison, suivre les vrais recettes à minima, croûtons pain maison plutôt que du carton en sachet c est quand même pas compliqué.Bref à éviter

Received a recommendation from a friend living locally to try Bistro St Jean and we weren't disapointed. We both had fish dishes which were imaculately presented with sauted vegetables and a creamy foam sauce. Wine was reasonably pricesd and there was a good selection of half bottles too. Deserts were deserving of special mention, especially the toffee profiterole - chocolate is more conventional but this was something quite special and worth a vist on its own. Decor is modern and comfortable, and I undertand its just been refurbished.

We stopped here by chance when we got hungry on our drive down to Alsace. And a most excellent stop it was. The two-course 12 euro 'menu of the day' option was a complete steal. The food was delicious; fresh, tasty and beautifully cooked. And the service was very efficient, warm and friendly (even if it did test our French!). Thoroughly recommended!

J'étais un peu sceptique au début mais j'ai vite été agréablement surprise. Plat du jour excellent (steak d'haricots rouges et sa purée, tarte choco noisette). Chouette concept, serveurs très sympathiques. Je recommande a 100%

We arrived without a reservation for a family of 5. This was not a problem and the staff rearranged tables any chairs so we could sit.The Restaurant was busy and had a good atmosphere. The food was simple but very well done, and the children's menu was very good value for money. Chicken drumsticks instead of nuggets!Child friendly, good atmosphere, and good value for money.

It was not the restaurant of our first choice, that was closed. We wanted a salad suitable for vegetarians. The waitress was shocked by our denomination, it seemed. Fish? No. No fish???. She walked away. Then it took another waiter 10 minutes to ask about drinks. Another 5 before we had the impeccable wine. And another 10 before we got our water. But,and that made the whole experience fascinating: we were served much faster then all the others. It was fully booked and there was no one really having an oversight or taking the lead. We had two good salads, two reasanoble deserts and had to wait a bit before we could pay. But it was fun seeing this comedy being played out around us.

We had a Welcome drink at O Club on the Friday and a formal dinner with 52 guests on the Saturday. On both times the staff looked after us well and the Saturday dinner was very good.

This place is worth pulling off the highway even if you are just passing Bar-le-Duc. Delicious HUGE burgers at a very low price (6.50-8.50). As a bonus, the owner is gracious and takes pride in the preparation of anything you order. The best burgers we've had in 5 visits to France. His truck changes locations throughout the week but you can find each day's location on the Facebook page. Thank you, Denis, from your new friends in Colorado!

We went to this lovely picturesque restaurant were you can see old stones, exposed beams and open wood fire (it is situated in the Old Town of Bar-le-Duc, next to the Clock Tower...).The atmosphere was magic, like if you went back to the Medieval time !The food was just perfect, delicious and so tasty. Lamb, salmon and foie gras were refined dishes that we really recommend. The service was professional and friendly.We can not wait to come back to this restaurant in Bar-le Duc to try the other things on the menu !
