Traditional Italian restaurant in Brunswick Street Fortitude Valley/New Farm.Smallish venue with two separate dining areas. Typical basic Italian decor and seating.Menu choices as to be expected. Service was friendly. Food, on the night we dined, was average. The Owner/chef spoke very highly of his food but unfortunately we did not share his opinion.The restaurant is fully licensed but BYO wine is permitted however it is limited to one bottle and a charge of $15 is levied. The restaurant wine list is very limited and the quality of the wine offered is very poor eg Yellow Tail !There are many other Italian restaurants to choose from and unfortunately I must say I would not hurry back to this establishment.Hello Trevor, thank you so much for your feedback. Cafe Strada proved to be our favourite breakfast/brunch place while holidaying at Cairns. There are a lot of good things going for it, but it came down to the crepes: both the sweet ones as well as the savoury, they were all excellent and did well to set us up for the upcoming day. We truly enjoyed going back for more!If I have to point at negatives, I will say I found the coffee rather mediocre (but I am a certified coffee snob). There are better serious coffee establishments in the vicinity (but none that offer as good food). Service was rather slow though cheerful and courteous.

What a beautiful view this place offers to the palms and ocean across the road, even had enough time to go for a quick dip while I waited for my food!Great coffee, extra hot and not too weak just how I like it! If you come before 1130 hold out for the lunch menu - itâs worth it! Mouthwatering burgers packed with flavour and sauce - my fav combo!Topped off with great service and reasonable prices, definitely add this cafe to your list! Wow what an absolute treat it was to eat at this buzzing Vietnamese cafe. No wonder the place was absolutely packed for a Saturday lunch. The food is amazing and so authentic, and the prices are super reasonable.There is everything here from banh mi on the lightest roll ever, to curry to generous bowls of noodle soup brimming with flavour.One of our friends ordered the large bowl and it was enormous so unless you can eat enough for several people the standard size is recommended and will probably still be challenging.A fantastic experience and donât be daunted by the queue for a table. It moves along reasonably quickly and the food is definitely worth the wait.

$64 For breakfast is way over priced.Coffee and food were good but not worth $$$. Very inconsistent with serving sizes between meals. Big breakfast good size for $ but eggs Benedict at $24 For 1 slice of bread, avo and 2 eggs left husband hungry. Also said more like a white sauce rather than hollandaise. Most disappointing though is that having an allergy menu becomes very restrictive when they won't allow substitution. But happy to remove $8 item and add $4 and charge for addition still. I understand not allowing substitution all the time but allergies already make my dining experience difficult. So due to this won't be back. It's obviously busy and won't miss my patronage but warning to others you may leave disappointed. Dear OpinionATThank you for your review. You are quite right, there is a difference in size between the BIG Breakfast and the Putia benedict due to the different ingredients in each dish. The big breakfast is the most substantial mean on the menu. Many of our customers tell us that they have allergies and our staff talk to them about menu options that might work for them. I appreciate the difficulty you may often have in choosing a suitable dish. For this reason, there is a basic menu choice of eggs on toast to which you can then add sides that are agreeable with you. Perhaps that would have worked better for you than the Big breakfast. Having said that, I can assure you that your feedback, e.g in relation to the sauce, is appreciated and has been considered by the kitchen team. regards Dominique

I went there for breakfast on my way to a training course for 3 days in a row I loved it so much on day 1.Service was friendly, Jaffles were awesome and very filling and fresh juice was fantastic too.For me it was much better value and taste over the Hotel buffet and it will be where I head for breakfast in August when I am next in Cairns.

Arrived in Cairns from London at 6:30am and stumbled across this place for breakfast.. amazing eggs Benedict, delicious coffee and friendly staff.. it was so good we headed back on day 3 for another breakfast. A really good breakfast for the four of us. Good juices, milkshakes and tea. Food was all quick and tasty. Menu had things suitable for adults and children. Service was friendly and attentive. Highly recommend this place.
