My 9 year-old son and two friends had a great time at the kids' cooking classes in the Easter school holidays learning how to make their own healthy, tasty lunch snacks. This is such a great idea from Isles Lane and their set-up is perfect for every child to see what’s going on and to have a turn - in a real restaurant, beside real chefs and not too far from customers. If your kids love MKR or Masterchef, then it's a fair bet they'd love to be among this action. As I sat back having a coffee, I couldn’t help but notice how much every one of the participants was enjoying the class, with happy smiles. The kids even get to take their tasty treats (or what is left of them) home. Really good value (at $15 per child) and well run. As word gets around, these classes are going to book out fast. I’d recommend following this class up with an afternoon exploring the city, checking out the activities at the Museum of Brisbane, GOMA or Southbank. Congratulations Isles Lane on such an enjoyable (and practical) holiday activity.Thank you so much for taking the time to leave such a great review for us :) We're so glad your son enjoyed the class and we hope you'll spread the word as we will be putting on classes every school holiday.

This is a fabulous experience for lovers of fresh seafood. My husband and I shared the 2 tier platter which really was enough for 3 people. BUT we did it justice! Couldn't fault anything on the platter - bugs, prawns, sushi salmon, oysters - no fillers like chips. The experience is enhanced by sharing a table with other travellers. Be sure to start a conversation and the response will add to the overall experience of dining here. We sat with 2 American attorneys. One from California, the other from Florida. A lovely Israeli couple and a young man from India. Don't miss this experience. It truly is special. Make sure you go well before 8pm or you might not get in...it's busy! It was located at Finger D of the pier when we dined in October.

We had a dinner there this week with three couples and I was disappointed as I had excitedly told my family that we were going to Trip Advisers number 1 restaurant in Brisbane. Our food was average. The barbecued pork was dry, tough and had little bones in it. My daughter who is a chef was unable to eat it. Overall none of us l had the special night wee had prepared for. We did like the electronic menus but somehow the restaurant made a mistake and tried to bring us out extra meals that had been duplicated from our order. Hello GenaC383, We wish to begin by thanking you for taking the time and effort to leave Gala Thai West End a review. We value our customers immensely and the feedback in which they provide helps us improve and excel as a restaurant. We were extremely sad to read your review, we pride ourselves on sourcing quality fresh ingredients and use local produce. We rely upon this to help create our extensive menu which we are very proud of. We apologise if you felt the quality in this visit was lacking. This is the opposite of what we aim to achieve as a restaurant. We look to provide our customers with an experience of great food, amazing atmosphere, and fantastic service. We would also love to gain more insight into what dish you ate, and also what dish that we bring you extra, trough this we can use constructive feedback to improve and progress.
