This is a wonderful French country estate. The grounds are beautiful and the house is filled to the brim with history and character. We were treated as if we were family. The food was local and delicious, the wine was expertly chosen. We had such a wonderful trip. If you’re looking for a true French experience, Le Mad Saint-Florent is perfect. Wecolme to the hotel-restaurant Le Flamant Rose. It is located in Albaron, between Arles and the Saintes Maries de la Mer in the department of the Bouches-du-Rhône, just in the heart of the Regional Natural Park of the Camargue. With Frederic, Chef and restaurateur, member of the «Conservatoire des Cuisines de Camargue» you will discover local products thanks to his provencal, regional cuisine. The hotel offers eight newly renovated rooms, comfortable and welcoming, in perfect harmony with the charming Camargue. One of the rooms is adapted for people with reduced mobility.

Delightful Logis de France, in the middle of The Camargue

This is a family run Logis, Frederic Lacave is the chef, and his wife, Mireille, runs the small hotel. The restaurant is excellent and well frequented by locals - a good sign! Albaraon is an ideal centre for exploring the Camargue, with Information available and English is spoken. Avoid July and August - very hot and busy. Spring and Autumn is great

Mas Notre Dame is delightful. The room we stayed in was very comfortable with a generous bathroom and a private garden just moments from the pool. The grounds are extensive and well looked after and the service top notch with a generous breakfast included in the price. I've stayed in more expensive hotels that aren't as good so would highly recommend Mas Notre Dame if you're in the area.

Little piece of heaven in Marseille

Reviewed By PianoHand

A little piece of heaven on the edge of Marseille! A warm welcome from the kind and friendly owners Nicole and Guy into their beautiful home. They recommended local places for sightseeing and are very knowledgeable. My French is not good, but Nicole understands my English well. The rooms are perfect, with all facilities you need, the gardens are relaxing with the aroma of flowers in blossom, and the home cooked breakfast has to be the best in Marseille - trust me! Make sure your rental car is small as the local roads are narrow and not for the faint hearted. But do not let this stop you from booking, as you will have great memories from this charming place. Highly recommended! Thank you Guy and Nicole :)

Vastly overpriced for what it is - and the concrete desolation that currently surrounds it

Reviewed By WMLES

This place is WAY OVERPRICED. The rooms are fine, crisp even, and the staff is trying, but this is a chain hotel run out of Paris, and there's no elevator, the lighting is poor, the dining facilities dark and depressing, and worst of all it was, in May 2022, literally blanketed with construction crews and apparatus. Noise deafening. Dust out of control. This desolation is unacceptable, and the rooms should be priced accordingly. Far better to stay more centrally in the old city, where travellers will get infinitely more bang for their buck. We had to check out after one day because of the din and gross ambience, and I can't say the front desk was particularly helpful on that.

The former renovated mill where you’ll stay is ideally situated in the heart of Provence only 10 minutes away from Aix and 15 minutes from Marseilles.Passionate about renovation and decoration we fell for the charm of this old mill. So quiet & Relaxing

Good: We loved everything about this hotel, the lovely decorated room (although a bit small) the garden, the San Bernard puppies.. OMG too cute!! The hotel is aprox 20 mins drive from Marseille Airport but at the same time it is located in the beautiful country side. In the morning we had to leave before 7.30am and the owner prepared the breakfast at 7am which we really appreciated. Bad: The shower need some kind of glass as the water was coming out to the room which happens to be also the bedroom. Room was very cold (humid) and had a strong smell of perfume. Not much of a variety of places to eat in the area.
