1760 Pub N Grille

We went here for a casual dinner.......friends had recommended the place.......and when we walked inside their front door, we were bombarded with too much noise for us, so we decided to eat on their patio. A wise decision as it was much quieter out there.A glass of both wine and beer started our evening there........fair prices and an ample pour with the wine.I ordered a Mushroom Swiss Burger (medium-rare request) and that's exactly what I got....perfectly prepared. The side order of French Fries was huge!My spouse tried their California Cheesesteak with Sweet Potato Fries.......both were good. Again, nice portion sizes. The only downfall of the night was slow service......maybe an exceptionally busy night or a shortage of waitstaff? We'll definitely return in the future!

Went with a group of 5 other retirees to The Barn on a Tuesday night. The Barn has a nice selection of bar food: appetizers, sandwiches, salads, soup; and a broad selection of beers. Their recipes are all somewhat unique so you’re not getting ordinary chain restaurant taste. I had the Bacon & Cheddar Grilled Cheese (caramelized onion, tomato, mayo), and it was excellent. The others seemed to enjoy their choices. I selected the Smoked Baked Potato as my side. It was okay, not outstanding by my standards. Still, a very nice evening. We were all too full for desert. Our young lady server was perfect.

The Alburtis Tavern serves delicious food from quite a large menu. I usually order the cheddar and bacon potato skins along with a dessert and it's plenty of food to fill me up. The active train tracks outside go along with the train memorabilia that decorates the interior of the tavern. They also have large rooms available to rent for private functions. This place is a local favorite. Good beer. Food made with heart. I love the chicken wings (crispy the way they should be). The burgers are great. The pub chips are so good that you don't need any kind of sauce to enjoy the flavor. Good choices of delicious beer on tap. Great bloody marys.

Late afternoon/early evening dinner. Place impressively busy for a Monday, noting of course that part of this likely has to do with numerous restaurants closed on that day. My friend ordered a draft beer, asked numerous questions of the server, who was knowledgeable and clear about the offerings. Needed to make my own iced tea because theirs is not fresh brewed. Accommodated graciously by server who was personable and very much tuned-in and helpful - brought hot tea, lemons and a glass of ice. Both my friend and I ordered hamburgers medium rare and while they were delivered timely and hot, they were at best medium, bordering on medium well. Still they had some pink left and were tasty and we found them acceptable. Steak fries and sweet potato fries were standard fare.Banana cheesecake was quite good for dessert.Value, defined as the quality of the entire experience compared to price of same, was reasonable.Overall vibe was friendly, loose, and much befitting an easy-going establishment. Very comfortable place to be.I would suggest to the restaurant that they: 1) have the server ensure that the meats are done as ordered before departing the table, 2) change to fresh brewed iced tea, 3) switch to fresh cut french fries rather than frozen.I recognize that this restaurant emphasizes its tavern roots with its selection of beers, craft and otherwise. This it does well.I'd return, and I'd be more specific about my preferences. Based upon my experience there, I believe they would respond professionally.

The Grille at Bear Creek Mountain Resort

Had the steak frites with a nice glass of red wine. Steak was ordered medium, and it was perfectly done. My significant other had the burger and a Malbec. The house salad with vinaigrette was tasty. We were impressed with the wine selection. They serve a nice selection of warm rolls with dinner, which seems a bit old fashioned, but it really a nice touch. We went for the skiing, but were very pleasantly surprised and with the restaurant, too.
