Went with a group of 5 other retirees to The Barn on a Tuesday night. The Barn has a nice selection of bar food: appetizers, sandwiches, salads, soup; and a broad selection of beers. Their recipes are all somewhat unique so youâre not getting ordinary chain restaurant taste. I had the Bacon & Cheddar Grilled Cheese (caramelized onion, tomato, mayo), and it was excellent. The others seemed to enjoy their choices. I selected the Smoked Baked Potato as my side. It was okay, not outstanding by my standards. Still, a very nice evening. We were all too full for desert. Our young lady server was perfect.

The Alburtis Tavern serves delicious food from quite a large menu. I usually order the cheddar and bacon potato skins along with a dessert and it's plenty of food to fill me up. The active train tracks outside go along with the train memorabilia that decorates the interior of the tavern. They also have large rooms available to rent for private functions. If you plan to dine here regularly, make sure to sign up for their free rewards card to earn free food.Thank you and see you again!!

On our latest visit we went for brunch. The menu is always different which is something we love! The entrees never disappoint. Make sure you check out the dessert case. You may want to start there! Make reservations!

We were making a quick trip to pick up a purchase in Lancaster and stopped into the Bear Swamp on the way through Macungie . We had 2 nice sandwiches with fries and 2 ice teas . Clean place, quick and friendly service for $18 not bad at all .

I often have breakfast there and the waitresses are right there with the coffee and it never takes long for the food to come out. There's always plenty and tastes great!I've eaten dinner there several times. They have a very wide variety and they are very generous with their portions. They have specials which include soup or salad and sometimes dessert. Great value!

Had the steak frites with a nice glass of red wine. Steak was ordered medium, and it was perfectly done. My significant other had the burger and a Malbec. The house salad with vinaigrette was tasty. We were impressed with the wine selection. They serve a nice selection of warm rolls with dinner, which seems a bit old fashioned, but it really a nice touch. We went for the skiing, but were very pleasantly surprised and with the restaurant, too.

Expecting a "fern bar/grill" experience when we entered, but were quickly charmed. The staff were light-hearted and endearing. They made excellent recommendations off the menu. We started with the Lobster bisque. Husband had the crab cakes much to his delight. I skeptically had Chink of the Woods and it was unbelievable. The service was at time slow and hard to find staff, but you could tell they were busy and running quickly to keep pace. All delicious. The wine choices were good (although one was out of stock). We have been ordering for over 4 years. The stuffed pizzas are absolutely amazing and weigh at least 5 lbs (meat lovers & spinach/ricotta are our favorites)!!!!! The regular pizza, steak sandwiches and calzones are great too! We have yet to have an item from the menu we didn't like & we often order enough for 2 or 3 meals as the food reheats very well in the oven. There is enough variety to make almost anyone happy. We order takeout but the inside is cozy if you want to eat inside (there has ALWAYS been somebody eating inside when I pick up the food).
