I've been here a half dozen times since moving to the area. I can't understand why people like this place. For lunch or dinner its the same situation - slow and unsteady service. The food is just OK. I think people like the happy hour. Skip.Hi lucycan, thanks for the feedback and I’m sorry your experiences have been less than great. We pride ourselves on great food and service every day, and typically get very positive feedback. The year we just ended was our busiest ever. If you would be kind enough to contact me and offer up specifics, that would be great. We do listen, and try to incorporate feedback. I hope we see you again.Greg PrattGeneral Manager

This restaurant has nice décor. The service was friendly and efficient. We were seated next to the window, so we had a great view of the lake and fountain. I had a delicious $13 wood fired fig and prosciutto flatbread pizza . I also had a great $12 Ready for Summer cocktail, which was delicious. I don't remember what I had for dessert, but I know it was great. I would definitely return on a future trip to Minneapolis.

Turtle's Bar & Grill

Very busy place! The service was good except that the food came rather slowly. The food was ok, better than average. Lots of menu options. Prices were average. The Monte Cristo sandwich at Turtle's is not deep fried like that sandwich usually is - it was more like french toast batter then the meat/cheese added to the middle. The raspberry dipping sauce that came with the sandwich was Ok.. The meat quality of the burger was good, but the overall burger was just Ok. The fries were the crinkle cut style.

Hazellewood Grill and Tap Room

Reviewed By manmountain13

I stopped in with the family on Father's day June 16th 2019. My burger was alright. Nothing special except for the bacon which was thick and smoky. We all had fries and none of us ate them. What kind of fancy restaurant can't even make some edible fries? My girlfriend got the French Onion soup and didn't eat it. It had a weird sweet flavor. My shrimp corn chowder was really good. Then I see my girlfriend picking at her walleye sandwich so I ask to try it. I took just a bit of the white walleye flake from the middle and I could not get it out of my mouth fast enough. Keep in mind that I am not a picky eater at all. I once ate 5 nightcrawlers for a charity event but I spit this walleye out and immediately began looking for something to wash my tongue. I'm home now and swishing Listerine and I still can't get the taste out of my mouth. It's as if they just completely forgot to remove the skin or something. The fishiness was overwhelming and rancid tasting. By far the worst fish I've ever put in my mouth, bar none. It was the worst thing of any kind I've put in mouth and I've had Lutefisk. I have cooked my fair share of walleye over the years and I'm not very good at it. I've botched it horribly many times and it still comes out delicious every time. Then we laugh about how it is impossible to screw up walleye. It is impossible. It's delicious every time no matter what you do. Well, not at Hazellewood Grill. God, I can still taste it. Just absolutely putrid. Literally like licking a live fish and sucking the slime off. I am shocked that a fancy restaurant with these prices would put something like this on a table in front of a customer. Just shocked beyond belief. They took it off the bill but that is far too little for something this horrible. They should have comped the whole bill. Better yet. Fire the chef from that night. That is absolutely unforgivable. I wouldn't eat here again if they gave me free food for the rest of my life.We are so sorry to read that this was your experience with us. Would you please be willing to contact our general manager and discuss this experience. Her name is dede conkey. You can reach her at 952-401-0066 or her email is [email protected]

Buffalo Wild Wings

Reviewed By heavytraveler2017

I love a big game, I like the atmosphere of Buffalo Wild wings. We sat at the bar and the bartender provided good service. My burger was okay, my fries were good...crisp. The only problem is that I don't want to eat such greasy stuff. I like the taste, but am trying to lose weight. To their credit, they do list calories on the menu. But the menu didn't have anything healthy on it that was interesting. As I looked around the room, I saw a lot of overweight people drinking oversized beers and eating greasy stuff. Guys were ordering tall beers (24 oz) of high alcohol ales one after another. I saw the guy next to me pound down four--that is a lot of beer--and get in a car and drive. I guess it is great if you're still in the 1990's and eating that stuff and drinking like that, but most of the world has moved on. I sure have. For my girlfriend, who does yoga everyday, she loved it. She still eats garbage and drinks like a fish...and can get away with it. The rest of us wanted to go somewhere else.A friend of mine who was with us was always a heavy meat-eater, even had a stupid bumper sticker that said "I'm a member of PETA..People Eating Tasty Animals!" He thought it was funny. That is, until the day he had a heart attack. Now he is a complete Vegan, not for ethical reasons, but for health. He now talks about how much better he sleeps w/o dairy and meat, how his asthma has disappeared. He could not find anything he considered healthy on the menu and complained the rest of the visit. He had one beer. Look, I eat meat. I prefer venison that has been raised in the wild because it is lower in fat, or Bison, but Buffalo Wild Wings doesn't get healthy eating options. If people want to eat heavy grease and white flour and dairy, God Bless them! That is their right. But could you have healthy options that taste good? It might broaden your appeal. There is so much interesting, tasty stuff that is healthy, low carb, low calorie, and low fat that there is no reason not to offer these options. Some people want to be healthy...they still like to have fun. BWW is missing a sizable portion of the market.

Great location for Chanhassen Theatre goers but loved by Locals alike is Brindisi's pub. It's a small place with lots of heart and generally packs a good crowd. The bar caters to all Clientele while the food caters mostly to locals not attending the dinner theatre or those who choose to have variety before the show. I would say the food was good, but really enjoyed the atmosphere and nice drink specials. Step back into this retro pub and have a good time!

Very nice lunch experience at Maynards. Nice atmosphere, lovely lake view and top notch service. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food. My Cobb salad was exceptional, tasty grilled chicken, crisp cool romaine and lots of goodies.. blue cheese, bacon , olives, egg and perfectly ripe avocado slices. Burgers also great, cooked to order, beefy flavor, very good. Great stop after a visit to the Arboretum.

I was in town for a class at the Arboretum. Decided to take in the Lenten Fish Fry at the Legion. We were seated family style and had a serve yourself all you can eat ($12) lightly breaded Pollock with potato salad, coleslaw, German potato salad. We were seated by Boy Scout troop number 330 and got to be served by them and met some very nice local people and had a great meal which would otherwise have been a little slower paced while waiting in town for my meeting tomorrow.

While visiting family in Minnesota we were taken here for lunch. Overall it was a very pleasurable experience. Nice selection of food on the menu including vegetarian options, great beer selection on tap and terrific service. Whenever we visit MN we try to get some Walleye and they had a few choices.I started with the "I Just Want a Small Salad" and it was anything but small. I went for their Walleye Fish and Chips (I rarely eat fried fish but this was a treat) and they were absolutely delicious! Prices were fair and the quality of food was very good. Also our waitress was EXCELLENT! I'm sory I forgot her name! Definitely will be back the next time we are in MN.Thank you for the great compliments! We are so glad that you enjoyed your dining experience with us! We love that you rarely eat fish but loved our fish and chips! We look forward to seeing you again when you come back through town!

Houlihan's

Forget 'casual dining.' That's an industry term so out of touch with how consumers eat and drink today. For premium quality and style; fare that's at times familiar and other times adventurous and a laid-back modern setting, Houlihan's is a true original.

As a small group of 8, we visited Houlihan's. Everyone was happy with their meals and service. I had a shrimp dish which is great. One comment I would like to make as I have an extreme allergy. They were very accommodating and and made sure I did not have to worry about any cross-contamination. We will return!!So thrilled to hear you and your group enjoyed your visit!
