Another visit to Avvia and as per usual the atmosphere, staff service and food was amazing. Not often do you find consistency of this kind I'm restaurants. Perhaps it's because they pride themselves on ensuring a dining "experience" above all else. Started with prawn dumplings, then we shared the lamb and prawn gnocchi. Finished with chocolate souffle. We accompanied our meal with a beautiful bottle of Syrah. Every dish was cooked to perfection. Do yourself a favour and give Avvia a visit.Meagan, thanks for leaving such a wonderful review. Have read a few rave reviews by John Lethlean (in The Australian newspaper) about this place so decided to try it on a recent visit to the Gold Coast.Completely underwhelmed. Very limited choice if you dont take the Set Menu and only 2 main meat dishes (and even though we were there by 7 pm one of these - the "Borrowdale Pork" was sold out! ). The kipfler potato was smothered in cream and the deserts uninteresting.As for the wine, the list is full of unknowns at ridiculous prices. The cheapest red wine is $57 a bottle (a grenache from the McLaren Vale ) and most are over $100. The pinot we chose, from a never heard of producer in Yarra Valley (Arfion, $82 a bottle), was only just drinkable. The sommellier said all the wines are biodynamic - well if you want to pay a fortune for unknown biodynamic wines here is you opportunity. Not for me.And as for what John Lethlean sees in the place maybe he should take another look. Next I am going to try Mee Wah in Lauceston which he recently canned in a review - because it might turn out to be really good!

Great Steakhouse in Burleigh heads We really love the menu choices great steaks delicious choices on portion size of the different types cuts of meat aged grass fed etc and the wine list to match the food is marvellous.To be honest when celebrating a family birthday dinner this place is a very high on our list of favourite restaurants on the GC.We have been here several times and I swear each time itâs just gets better and better great food and lovely staff with nothing a problem and for the record we love this place and intend to return soon.

We ended up here by shear happenstance whilst looking for a place to have lunch last Sunday, when we were meandering throughout the Tallebudgera Valley. It was very good, service was spot on and the food was great. We'll be back for breakfast one day ...anybody who has fillet steak as part of their Big Breakfast has got my vote.

Whilst on holiday in Burleigh Heads recently (from the UK) I visited the Harvest Moon restaurant with some family and friends. The whole experience from booking, welcome, service, food and final goodbye was excellent.The food (we chose eight tapas dishes) between us was delicious. The owner was welcoming and friendly and the bar and waiting staff super nice.I'd highly recommend this restaurant.

What should have been a seafood experience we were left extremely disappointed. The seafood menu and selection was bland to say the least and the seafood itself was bland. The main course of Jew fish was of age! And would question how the seafood is selected. On the upside you could not fault the waiting staff, who turned what could have been a real disappointment into a lovely day. The prices do not meet the quality of seafood provided and are well over priced for what was received. If the quality was there, I would not question the price.

We often go here for breakfast on the weekends. We have tried other places in Burleigh, Palmy and Broadbeach but always find ourselves back at the Pantry. We are always greeted with a smile, the food is served quickly and there is no shortage of choice. We rate the coffee as one of the best on the coast too. Great service with a smile, excellent food and awesome coffee, if this place doesnt satisfy you nothing will. Why go and stand in line with the other wood ducks over the road for crap coffee and ordinary service when you can be served at a table by friendly happy people. Its ok your phone will work from here too so you can still take your selfies.

Weâve been going to Bin 12 for a while now and love the friendly service, the fact that the staff remember our names and drinks we like, it makes going anywhere else really quite sad as you donât get the same level of service elsewhere. The food menu is great and everything is tasty, even the eggplant! We often meet friends and have Christmas/Birthday drinks here and highly recommend.

Went to celebrate my birthday. We had a friendly greeting from Karin, our hostess. Started with Onion Rings and marinated Olves. Best Onion rings ever. Very tasty olives.Then we had the Stuffed Zuccini Flowers, Fish Hot Pot, Whiting Fillets & Pork Belly. Everything was sensational. We each had a cocktail but unfortunately they were all far too sweet. The Pinot Grigio was excellent. To finish I got a surprise birthday desert of Chocolate mud cake and creme brulee. Great decor and ambience, good music - not too loud! Overall an excellent experience!Hello Andre, We are happy to have you here.
