Excellent.authentic Thai food, beautifully presented. This restaurant is small, so you would be wise to book your table. Firstly very easy to access from the motorway, plenty of parking of an evening. Food was delicious and overall reasonably priced, loved the seared scallops. Staff friendly and attentive, all made for a very enjoyable dining experience. Option to eat in or out.

This place feels like home. The family that runs it are friendly, efficient and helpful, They take great pride in the quality and freshness of their food. They deliver a very authentic Vietnamese meal and they do so at a great price. The restaurant is often packed at lunchtime but service is still quick and efficient. I have never had a meal that wasn't top quality, it is always great.I discovered My Saigon Tuckshop when looking for something else in the area, it is AMAZING. I love Vietnamese food and regularly travel long distances to seek out a favorite dish. I have lived on the southern Gold Coast for 3 years and am 10 minutes from this restaurant but never knew it existed, nor did any of my friends. This place is a must visit. There is no where else around (except my best friends house) where you can get a better pork spring roll & you get 4 for only $6. These aren't made elsewhere in a factory, they are lovingly made by hand in the restaurant and you can tell. I often duck in here after school drop off and getting the groceries to grab a few guilty spring rolls. In fact, I sometimes draw out my morning errands so I can get here at 10am for that tasty treat. I don't think I could even make the spring rolls at home for that price and these are truly delicious, generous size and with actual pork that you can see. Most reviewers I see love the Banh Mi here, I have to say I haven't tried it - yet. They have a lot of other great food and cater for gluten free, vegetarian. I love their lemongrass chicken and if I order this with the spring rolls I simply can't finish both so portions are just right. My fussy gluten intolerant friend loves it here too, she can get a delicious gluten free main and loves the rice paper rolls, they are fresh, tasty and HUGE. My daughter loves the prawn rice paper rolls and she is 10 and normally doesn't eat that sort of thing. This restaurant is in an industrial area where you wouldn't normally associate great food but they really deliver great service, quality food and a fantastic and generous experience. They have a few indoor tables and four tables in a little courtyard, The courtyard is eclectic and the ground a bit uneven but it just works, it is a homey place to eat good food and they even have a fresh garden on the carpark where they grow herbs and chillis for the dishes. I took a friend here and she wasn't sure what to do with her meal, after she started eating one of the owners noticed she hadn't added the broth, coming over and suggesting she might like to add it to her dish, she liked it before but loved it after. We hesitated to go here as doubted how good it could be but were not disappointed. Excellent value, enormous menu, lovely staff and best of all delicious. A great find and weâre hoping for a warm night next time so we can sit outside under the beautiful coloured lanterns.

Perhaps our expectations were too high but I found Rick Shores a bit underwhelming. The location can't be faulted and the service was excellent. The staff fussed over my elderly mother which made her day and we certainly enjoyed gazing out over the beach on a sparkling winter's day but I was disappointed in the food - the curries were too rich and lacked the zing that I expect from seafood and curry. I can't understand why they would cut up the prawns in the prawn curry - and where was the freshness that should come with a Thai style prawn curry? The duck curry was nice - but again lacked zing and the pork belly, although tasty was overpriced. The fresh roti were delicious - but very pricey. I would probably return - for the views but would aim for some of their smaller, lighter offerings.

First time for two of us here and we were so glad of the suggestion from our friends.The small restaurant has a great vibe, and even on a Tuesday night was packed and no wonder why.The food, service and ambiance was excellent. The menu is well crafted with something for everyone.Our only problem was not picking too many choices but the excellent waiter explained the dishes with suggestions for the four of us.And speaking of the staff despite how busy they were they still managed to attend to us and everyone around us quickly and with a smile. Their attention to detail was also noted.The kitchen puts a modern spin on Vietnamese cooking, the finished dishes all beautifully presented and gratefully devoured.The drink list is also excellent, the bartender kept busy mixing some beautiful cocktails, while the wine list has a great range, many wines being available by the glass giving us the ability to try different varietals.The crispy spring rolls are mentioned by other reviewers and I have to agree they were yum!All in all I will have to come here again, well done Jimmy Wahâs.

Went to celebrate my birthday. We had a friendly greeting from Karin, our hostess. Started with Onion Rings and marinated Olves. Best Onion rings ever. Very tasty olives.Then we had the Stuffed Zuccini Flowers, Fish Hot Pot, Whiting Fillets & Pork Belly. Everything was sensational. We each had a cocktail but unfortunately they were all far too sweet. The Pinot Grigio was excellent. To finish I got a surprise birthday desert of Chocolate mud cake and creme brulee. Dined here with friends, loved the Japanese pancake, very reasonably priced, well cooked, we had the seafood version and very filling. Good service. The only negative is the wine list, with the cheapest bottle of white wine $65.00 A bit steep for the coastHey mate! Thanks for the positive review. We agree on our wine list - that was an error on our part in setting up the menu. We have always had bottles available from $50 but just failed to make that clear on our first draft of the menu but we have updated it now. Bottles from $48 which I hope you agree is a bit more reasonable
