Following our early morning swim in the Airlie Beach Lagoon had breakfast in the Treehouse which overlooks the Lagoon through the trees. Friendly staff and good service. Enjoyed very much the smashed avocado which was ample serving and good coffee accompanied. Went a couple times during our 7 day stay in Airlie.

I was very surprised to have experienced the service we recieved. As soon as we entered the restaraunt we waited to be seated, a waiter also confirmed that someone would be with us shortly. Soon after a family of six walked right in front of us and got a table immediately. We waited over 15 minutes to even place an order. When the food arrived it was delicious, but the Mojito I got was fairly tasteless and I dont believe that it had a full shot of alcohol in it. After finishing our food we waited over 20 minutes to order a second drink, but our waiter never returned. We proceeded to walk to the front to pay, where the manager acted very inconvenienced by the fact that we wanted our bills split, so much so that he asked a younger staff member to do it. She then told us that you have to PAY for the still water ($5.50) and there was also a 1.5% surcharge on all credit transactions. I would not recommend this place to anyone unless they find enjoyment out of wasting their own time.Seems this couple - both of which took times on two separate occasions - to write reviews on our venue - for the same experience, had a horrible time at Fish D'vine. Usually, right now I am expected to provide the standard "we are so sorry for your experience..." yet I cannot. ..had the couple just wrote one review fine - but they decided to write two reviews - one on top of each other - in an attempt to make "a point". Well let me make point. None of this review is factually correct - the customers here walked in and treated everyone rudely and generally had a bad attitude. They had an issue with babies , with the temperature outside with the fact it was raining etc etc.The only saving grace is I found the perfect people to give my eulogy upon my death. I will have the whole place in tears - weeping - with sadness - my point is - if I had a website that rated customers - they may would given 1 out of 5 - the 1 would be given only because of the joy they gave as they left our restaurant.

We have been in airlie beach for 3 days and walked past this little gem every day. Had mediocre meals each day and then we decided to give this place a go after reading great revues. And oh my goodness the food really is amazing! We had the Route 66 burger with chips and the cheese and Mac bombs. The burgers are that filling that we barely touched the chips and only had one of the bombs out of 3 but we had to try them! The table next to us had loaded fries and the fish tacos which looked amazing.Highly recommended! We won’t go anywhere else for the duration of our stay!Hello, thank you for taking the time to leave a review and also for your kind words! I'm glad you enjoyed your meals, hopefully we will see you back in Little Vegas before your holiday ends! Little Vegas Team

Having read so many wonderful reviews we decided to spend $25 in a taxi to go there this evening for a nice evening dinner.Wish we hadn’t.I don’t get how anyone could give this place 5 stars? Maybe you need to go in the daytime? On arrival the place has the feel of a canteen. A big open room with wood roof, floor, tables and chairs. And a pool table! And kids running around everywhere. Chaotic. At 8pm it was starting to thin out a bit We got a nice table looking out over the beach. We ordered a mojito which was quite possibly the worst I’ve ever had - at $18 too!!Then the meals - one entree and two steaks. We were told it could take 45mins. Fortunately though the mains turned up after 20 mins. The entree 5mins later ?!?!Salmon sashimi was pretty good. The steaks and sauces average - cooked way more than the medium rare we asked for, but got on with eating them for fear of having to wait another 20 mins for a replacement. $120 all in was over priced for the quality, the service and the ambiance. The free shuttle bus back to town with a very helpful driver means that this review gets two stars rather than one and fingers crossed we can find somewhere better in Airlie in the coming days.We at Northerlies always analyse both positive, and no so positive feedback in relation to our business, in this case we will take this with a grain of salt. The building, or canteen as you refer too actually won the Australian Master Builders Award 2018, a massive accolade to a construction project that we are extremely proud. We do not promote ourselves as a fine dining establishment, I am sure the the beach bar in Northerlies may relate to most what we strive to achieve, that is a cool, casual, family friendly, no pretence venue where people feel relaxed, chill and almost homely. We do ambitiously try to succeed in excelling all visitors expectations, but we realise that for some this will never be met. We do thank you for your visit and wish you happy travels.

The fish tacos are also a fan favourite. Have a beer and relax with views over Airlie harbour, play a game of pool, swim in their pool and relax in the spa. Afternoons, evenings and nights are well spent with great service to match. The accomodation is top notch too. Thanks for a great night, we will be back! Cheers Mike

Been to a different restaurant every night this week and Cooks could probably be the best? It’s a smallish place nicely decorated but it’s got an airy feel being next to the lagoon. Nicely breezy this evening. The staff are welcoming and super attentive. I had a bit of banter with one of the girls wondering if their Mojitos were as good as the ones in Fish D’vine? Well they weren’t far off as good. The food was spot on too. We shared the pork belly in Bourbon then had the Thai curry and the Moules Frites all of which were excellent. Followed by the Chocolate Volcano which was really melty. At just over $100 it proved to be excellent value and I would highly recommend Cooks to anyone
