We had dinner here tonight with one of our grandsons. We started with hot and sour soup which my husband and I thought was very good. Then we split several appetizers, scallion pancakes, fried pork dumplings, and barbecued spareribs, all of which were good. We also split plates of General Tsoâs chicken and Szechuan beef for our main courses. Both were good, but we actually liked the appetizers better. The iced tea was also good, and our waitress was friendly and helpful. The dining room was nicely appointed, especially the welcoming fireplace on a cold night

When Q opened, I had high hopes. I had retail enjoyed the Peter Chang restaurants in Arlington, VA and Rockville, MD, and this one was closer to home. I left very disappointed, but gave them the benefit of the doubt that they were still in the shakedown period. I returned last night, and was even more disappointed. To begin with, the service was really poor. When we arrived, they pointed to an empty table, suggesting we could sit there. After a long wait, I had to get a waiter to take our order. A few minutes later, another waiter stopped at our table to apologize. The long and short is that we had dishes that were on the menu at other Peter Chang restaurants, but they weren't as as good and they cost about 30-40% more. And, the dessert was terrible -- other Peter Chang restaurants do't offer dessert, and now I know why. Other Peter Chang restaurants are 85-95% occupied at prime time -- this one was about 30% occupied, and now I know why.

Tako Grill is a Japanese restaurant serving classic Japanese dishes and very fresh and exquisite sushi. It started as a partnership between two Japanese chefs opening up a Sushi take out restaurant named Kanpai in 1986 at Glen Echo in Bethesda and continu
Went here for dinner after reading many positive reviews and wasn't thrilled. The restaurant was not busy and I was seated right away. They offer both a sushi menu and a menu for other Japanese items. I ordered off the sushi menu and though my rolls were ok. It is reasonably priced but the service was kind of slow and I had to ask to have my drink refilled multiple times.

Party of 8 for dinner along with an infant. The staff was very good including taking care of the infant with kids chopsticks. That was actually funny to watch the grandfather trying to show the 2 year old how to use them. The food is terrific. A little slow on delivering the entire order but would definitely go back again and again to this restaurant. Appetizers, soups and entrees all tasty.

Mandalay has been one of our favorite restaurants for 15 plus years when it started in the College Park Donut Shop before it moved to Silver Spring.Family run..food consistently great and nice portions.Good Service. Full bar We always start with a green mango salad. I love the yellow beans with scallions and rice. My husband gets their famous wide noodle dish...similar to chow fung with chicken. Leftovers are carried home to be enjoyed a second timr.Fun to have each person try something different so you can share and try new dishes@ Dessert is a must..Shweji..a Burmese speciality cream of wheat, raisins, coconut milk..served warm.Put this on your Must try list when in the DC /Silver Spring/ Montgomery county area. You won't be sorry!! We came from DE to.go since we were in the area! They recently opened up a burmese salad place in DC on Wisconsin and M Street.

In our ideal restaurant classic vegetarian dishes would be made from locally grown organic produce effused with Indian and Nepalese spices. Meats would be cooked high over hot charcoal in a tandoor (a traditional clay oven) allowing fats to drain, thereby
We tried this restaurant for a second time after nearly a year since our last visit. It was somewhat disappointing relative to a year ago. We tried the appetizer plate which was very good but the cilantro sauce was vinegary and relatively bland. The main entrees were all good but nothing out of the ordinary. The service was attentive and friendly, although admittedly there were few clients in the dining room. Options for alcoholic beverages are fairly limited with a few low end wines by the glass and a selection of beers. Decent place for Nepalese and Indian food but not inspired.

This was our 1st time here. We were in the neighborhood for an Oil Change and decided to have a Thai Lunch. Found this place on google. We arrived at 1:15PM on a Sunday in mid Dec. Only 1 party present so we were seated immediately. We ordered the Tom Yum soup with chicken, the Drunken Noodle & the Chicken with Cashew. There was lots of chicken & mushrooms in the soup, it came out Hot & spicy, very good!. The Drunken Noodles came out HOT and delicious. The chicken with cashews had plenty of cashews & sauce which was great with rice. All in all a great lunch except that they charge for soda refills. It would have nice if the server told us.

After a movie at the AMC Complex in the Mazza Gallerie, we went to Sushiko located nearby. The entry is not directly on Wisconsin but is accessed from parking behind the building. Inside the space is comfortable and they offer some of the better sushi in the DC area. We found the service to be especially good. The wine and sake list is quite good. We chose the tasting menu and were very pleased with the choices and the quality of each course. The tofu soup was delightful and the prawn and vegetable tempura was delicious. One of us had sushi items and one had grilled salmon served with baby chow and mushrooms. The salmon dish was wonderful. Sushiko is also very good for lunch.Where we were seated was a little loud but it might have been due to a couple of people seated next to a wall and talking loudly. Kobo is an omakase area inside Sushiko and at the sushi counter. Kobo is temporarily not taking reservations. When it does again, Kobo is a great experience. It is not inexpensive but it is a special experience.

I had wanted a light Japanese lunch in anticipation of a heavy dinner. And this place did not disappoint. I ordered the sashimi bento and it was just right in amount and tasty in quality. The food was fresh and well presented. The decor too is interesting. I sat in a booth with the side to the wall that had what looked like a metallic patina--it's actually ceramic tiles. I know because I had a table with that surface once.Nice.
