It's ironic to be so far inland and be able to sit down and have my tastebuds transported seaside. Nara is, hands down, the freshest and highest quality sushi I have ever eaten. Aside from the fact that the rolls are abundant and crafted masterfully, the chef was very knowledgeable and entertaining. Their menu is so full of tempting combinations and creative ideas it is almost impossible to decide what to get. I settled on the Rolling Red and was blown away at flavor combination and the freshness and quality of the ingredients. I've eaten sushi fresh dockside on multiple coastlines of multiple countries and can't compare to what we enjoyed at Nara. We look forward to returning to explore the amazing options on the menu. Well done.

Visited here the first time last night. Best food in downtown Billings! I had the pho. Excellent meal! The waiter talked me out of the Imperial bowl. Next time there I am ordering the Imperial bowl. Very reasonably priced, too!

My wife and I joined five other friends for dinner at Cham Thai in Billings, MT on a Friday evening. We were walk-in customers. Even though there were only two other tables with customers, the male host was upset and a bit rude in suggesting that we had not made reservations for a group larger than 6 and that Friday was their busy night. We offered to split our group but he would have none of that. Finally, he seated us anyway at two combined tables. As we left the restaurant an hour later, only two more tables had been filled and there were still several empty tables available. (You can find similar reviews about their Friday night reservation requirement on Goodle Reviews - it seems to be a pattern here)The female server was very friendly and helpful. Most of us had not been there before and were ordering our spicy hot meals with "medium heat". The server suggested that we down grade the "heat" because their heat levels were pretty strong. My wife heeded her advice and ordered mild. I ordered medium on my Kung Pao Chicken. I like spicy food, but the medium was definitely hotter than most Asian food restaurants where I have eaten - my mistake - I was warned. The flavor of the KPC was delicious. My wife liked her meal but did not finish it all. She took the remainder home in a small take-out box. When she heated it up today, it smelled so yummy that I wish she had enough for me, too.The meals were served with a choice of white or brown rice. They have five heat levels for their spiciness: None, Mild, Medium, Hot, Extra Hot. I expect my wife and I will eat here again. They have a large menu and the prices are moderate. The seven of us ate for $83 plus tip. Cham Thai also serves lunch. I rate Cham Thai as a 4 for food quality, 5 for value, and a 2 or 3 for service (based on the rude male host).

The beef curry is tasty and the various sushi rolls we tried were on point. The Dragon Roll was my favorite. I also like the baked tempura roll that had salmon on top. We will definitely be back again!

What a great meal! Of course they have more than Sushi such as their Korean BBQ and little grills right at some tables but we only tried the sushi. It was great and the staff was very aware of gluten free and what can be accommodated. They said basically they can make most things gluten free except the deep fried things. Staff was very friendly, service was fast, food was delicious. They even brought out a dessert at no charge for us; I'm assuming because they're awesome. Totally go and eat here! Prices were fair, it can be expensive depending on what you're ordering of course.

J P Kitchen opened in September of 2015. Our family built and opened the Jade Palace in October of 1988, which after 25 plus years of serving Billings closed its doors in March of 2015. From there we sought to open J P Kitchen. Our goal at J P Kitchen is
I used to eat at the Jade Palace and before that at the restaurant on Grand that the owner's parents were a part of. I didn't go here at first because our daughter has been diagnosed with Celiac's so we weren't eating out and she is usually who I eat with at Oriental Restaurants. When I found out they had a decent gluten free menu we tried it and it was great. Not as big portions as before but a very classy and nice place.

Wild Ginger is very convenient to The Northern Hotel, and Asian sounded good, so I wandered over one night during my Billings stay. I won't return. They seated me at the bar which was fine for a single diner, but classic 80's music blared loudly. My request to have it changed or turned down was denied because "it's the manager's favorite." My curry seemed quite bland, despite the server assuring me that their food was "very authentic and not at all Americanized." I asked for, and got, several spice containers brought to the bar so that I would jazz up my food. You know things are "off" when a customer asks to remake the dish himself. Strangest by far was an electrician who showed up to fix a pump for the large aquarium, laid the machine directly on the bar, took out his tool box, and proceeded to repair the dirty pump just two feet from where my food and drink sat. I assumed that staff would ask him to take his work elsewhere, but no one said a word. Clearly all the servers knew him well and chatted amiably with him as he drilled away and loudly retested the pump. Given the way my request to lower the music was received, I knew better than to say more. Next trip to Billings, I will take my patronage to one Billings' other great downtown restaurants.

My family went to this restaurant, having gone before, and pleased with the food. It was delicious, and we really enjoyed the meet-and-greet seating where we had the opportunity to hear and learn the stories of people we did not know. The atmosphere promotes friendliness. The "chef" was fun at each grill while dispensing water and broccoli long-distance into guests' mouths. Children also love this experience, and there was a great deal of bonhomie and laughter throughout the room.

Siam Thai Restaurant serves delicious and authentic Thai cuisine in Billings, MT.
After 10 days of travel and the monotony and dominance of standard American cuisine on our travels through South and North Dakota, we needed a different flavour for dinner. Siam Thai was the perfect antidote to steak/burgers/pizza/sandwiches. Our appetisers were great, our curry was very nice and the pad thai was even better. It was just a short drive from the Homewood Suites where we were staying.

Our family loves Tao! We go here almost every time we are in Billings. Service is fabulous, food is always top quality, and the atmosphere is nice. We like that is quiet so we can talk. The chef here is outstanding! Only once, out of many many visits have we had to wait longer than 30 minutes (and it was a super busy dinner time). We love this restaurant!
