This restaurant was by far our favorite restaurant that we visited during our trip to Montana! The food was delicious and the service was outstanding. Be sure to save room for dessert too. We made reservations ahead of time for a large group of 15 (9 adults and 6 kids) and they were ready for us when we arrived. Highly recommended!!

Honestly, after the wife and I walked in and observed the truly nasty floor carpets, held the greasy menus and gasped at the unwashed and oily hair of our waitress, our lunch expectations were seriously diminished. Gordon Ramsay would have been aghast, for sure. However, in all fairness, the food was not a problem at all. We opted for the safety of a large combination pizza to split, figuring we'd survive any kitchen nightmares. Turns out that the pizza was pretty darn good - ample toppings, soft and chewy crust, flavorful sauce. The pizza had been left a bit too long in the oven so that the top cheese had been baked to a crustiness, but better that than uncooked dough. Service was okay, and they gladly honored a gift cert we had without question. In truth, the atmosphere/cleanliness was off-putting enough that we won't likely return, but I can't fault the food we experienced.

While visiting family in Hamilton/MT, we HAD to have breakfast at The Kitchen located downtown. It is exactly what you would expect. Local, funky, wide menu, great eats.And . . . it is ALL about the pancake you MUST order even you don't normally like pancakes. Order it as a side dish and share amongst your group. One is enough.Enjoy The Kitchen.

We had ventured far from our home in Georgia and were so very happy to find Moose Creek BBQ at lunchtime. The owner had spent his earlier years in our state and certainly has replicated great Georgia barbecue in Montana. Everything about this place smacks of perfection and is sure to please any palate. The ribs, the pulled pork, the burnt ends.....everything was perfectly prepared. The sides are stand alone excellent and not simply a footnote to the great meats. There is also a wide selection of sauces, all of which must be tried. You can't go wrong eating here.

This is a typical, home-style restaurant. It's popular among the locals. The food is average. Not bad but nothing to write home about. It's home-style cooking. Sometimes the salads are predominantly iceberg lettuce, just like mom would make. Sometimes they're leaning a little on the limp side. They have menu items like meat loaf and mashed potatoes, hot turkey sandwich, tuna melts. You know. Pretty much anything comfort-food wise that your mother ever cooked. We have a friend that would rather not eat there, and I think it's because it reminds him of his mother. LOL. Save room for pie. It's great and they also have a huge pie selection. So it's not a 5-star restaurant. It's comfort food/home cooking. But their prices are reasonable, the servers are always kind, they keep the water coming, and stay on top of the coffee too if that's your thing.

Eight of us dined here for family get together. We spent 3 hours in here enjoying drinks and dinner. The place was full and busy but well run and service was good throughout our visit. The menu here is incredible. So much variety, right from King Crab and seafood entrees to your burgers and Fisha nd Chips. Our group ordered various dishes from entree salads, steak, chicken, fish and burgers. The portion sizes are fantastic and presentation excellent. All of our orders came out together, all fresh, hot and well prepared. It's rare that you get consensus when 8 people dine out, but not the case here. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meals, no issues, all excellent!! I had the Mahi Mahi, was a wonderful dish, large portion and well done. Soup of the day was an outstanding chicken/mushroom, three of us had it and all found it excellent. We all had drinks, some of us two. Great bar service here and tap beers. Prices are extremely reasonable. Our entire bill was $153.00 for 8 people....A very good price for outstanding meals and drinks for a night out. Went there for a special occasion and the place was only serving 3 Tables....we were informed that the 'Kitchen was Slammed'.....with what? Only ordinary service, and the quality has gone....down! Unfortunate since it used to be a great place....for lunch maybe?

My husband ordered shrimp fajitas and declared they were the worst he had ever had. Small, tasteless shrimp, way too many onions and peppers, cardboard tortillas. Waiter forgot sour cream and guacamole. No pico de gallo.I ordered chicken taco salad and got a huge pile of lettuce with tasteless shredded chicken bits. No recognizable cheese, a few olives lost in the lettuce and tasteless dressing.Hi Lin,We sincerely apologize that you did not enjoy your meals at The Filling Station. As you can see from our reviews, we strive to make every dining experience pleasurable. I will personally look into this situation as both our Fajitas, and our Chewies Chicken Salad are some of our local favorites.Thank you, we appreciate your feedback.

We ordered fish and chips, chicken strips and fries and the brisket sandwich. The fish is lightly battered by one of their beers and was very flaky and fresh. The chicken battered the same and equally delicious. The brisket sandwich was yummy, they serve the brisket several ways and the sandwich was our choice. Beer is very good and they have a variety of choices. A must try when in the area.

Our food was decent. We came in at lunchtime and it was pretty busy but no wait. The tables were crowded and it was difficult to maneuver to the bathroom. It was a very loud space and difficult to talk to people right next to you.
