Along Columbia's wide avenues are historic sites ranging from an antebellum mansion to the former home of a slave who bought her freedom, plus museums, galleries, music venues, theaters and shops. Located by the University of South Carolina, we are a full service restaurant and bar open 7 days/week. Casual atmosphere, dining room and covered deck, close to USC athletic activities and concerts at the Colonial Life Arena and Koger Center.
Great location for before an event at Colonial Life Arena, but usually VERY busy then. Great menu variety and a step up from Pub Food. Reasonably priced and good selection of hops! Thanks for your great review!

Pleasant atmosphere, good service and good food. I met a friend for lunch. I wasnât too hungry so just had the soup. It was excellent. Parking was not a problem but could be. There is a public garage within walking distance if the weather is O.K.

We were late getting here for dinner and decided to go a little lighter. My husband frequents here due to travels with his job. This was my first visit. The burger was good and the onion rings were great. We sat at the bar and the bartenders were excellent. Nice atmosphere, great service, and really good food. Glad I can add this to the list of great restaurants in Columbia!! Try it!

We have heard about Mr Friendly's for years but had never been there, so glad we went! The name says it all, everyone was super friendly and the food was delicious. Loved the atmostphere and art on the walls. I hate I don't recall our servers name because he was fantastic. The menu is diverse, from light bites to main entrees, lots of options. I had the catfish po'boy, probably one of the best I have ever had. Fish was fresh and cooked prefectly, not greasy but crispy and light. My husband had the FQ burger, it was huge! Rich, gooey and full of flavor. We will defintely go back!!!

Had a wonderful dinner at Cola's. Must book reservations if Carolina is in session. Had some Scallops and the Trout. Really nice tasting dishes. Harry, the waiter was very imformative and friendly. Would go again. A+ quality in my book.

Our cuisine can be labeled many things, but it is most definitely seasonal. Our service is professional, yet far from stuffy. Our décor is modern, yet simple, and our wine list is extensive. Perhaps most important of all, everyone from our servers and bar
First time diner at this restaurant. Part of a private function so review may not reflect regular service. Appetizer of low country seafood and corn gumbo, although tasty, was only lukewarm and not hot. The side salad consisted of fresh greens, bacon, blue cheese, and a creamy dressing which was very savory. The dinner plate consisted of 6oz steak, mashed potatoes and haricots vert. The al dente green beans were seasoned with too much garlic. The mashed potatoes were a little runny and had no body. The steak was one of the best I have had in long while. Cooked to perfection, with a little au jus and very juicy. The chocolate bomb desert was also a crowd favorite. I will have to return to see how restaurant handles couples.

DiPrato's Delicatessen opened May 2004, and, today, the DiPrato's Experience affords patrons a rewarding escape from ordinary fare. The reward? Delectable food, beautiful décor, and a beguiling balance: friendly service and a pleasant, neighborly feeling.
I like this place...a friend calls it snooty...I'd call it upscale. If you want a sandwich go to McDonald's...if you want something that's better than just filling your stomach, then go eat here. Take family and friends here when they are visiting. Keep this one in your back pocket. Every sandwich is good but I recall a burger special that was amazing...eat everything on the menu.

Ok, so well worth the wait!! After moving my daughter into the dorm, we had to experience The Devine Cinnamon Roll Deli. I had read reviews earlier in May, but missed it being open by about 30 min when visiting then. My sister wasnât all about the wait, but after all was said and done she was just as ecstatic as I for finding this place. This is an absolute gem and Columbia should be so lucky to have Judy, the owner, representing!!! When we arrived Judy was diligently greeting arrivals outside, as well as watchinge the parking lot. One person had blocked the exit and Judy had to find her to alleviate that issue...crazy kids! Then, once we were in the door, more of a wait to order at the counter. I can guarantee you will not be disappointed and the wait will simply be forgotten as you munch on fabulous sandwiches, wonderful homemade soups, and little pita chips!! Did I not mention the scrumptious cinnamon buns??!! Judy actually brought an extra to our table with some bourbon sauce to try, and boy was it grand!!! Definitely trying a mixed variety on the next visit!! We ordered a dozen to go to take to our 87 year old mother who was an expert cinnamon bun maker in her day and other family members. We knew our mother would be so impressed with our find! : ). Judy was very busy taking care of everyone in the dining area, but took the time to chat with us. I explained my husband was working in the area and was supposed to meet us for lunch, but was running late. She said if he was going to be arriving late she would hold lunch for him. What an incredibly sweet gesture!!! You donât get this kind of service most places these days!!! Kudos, Judy!!! You have new found followers and we sing your praises to everyone!! You are the epitome of what owners should be doing to keep happy, returning patrons. You do it right!!!
