Well known around arlington. Has even been featured on Diners Drive Inn's and Dives I believe...
We used to get dinner from J. Gilligan's at least once a month. Quite often I'd pick it up and bring it home. Our staples were Chad's Chicken Salad, Irish Nachos and the Best Dressed Chest in the West. I'm really not sure why we stopped. We did move a few miles further away but it wasn't for any reason in particular that I can recall that we stopped. This week, I had a meeting to attend there so I took the opportunity to eat dinner and wondered if it would be as good as I remembered. I had a Chad's Chicken Salad and, it was delicious. Fresh ingredients, tender chicken and great dressing. I think it's homemade but, if it's not, it sure isn't anything I've come across in the store! The food was still great, the servers were very nice and attentive and the prices are still reasonable. I need to come back more often!

Rudy's "Country Store" and Bar-B-Q serves Real Texas Bar-B-Q seven days a week. They offer breakfast, lunch, dinner and group meals.
I love Rudy's. They know how to make some great Texas barbecue. My pork and beans was delicious. I really love their sissy sauce. I prefer a sweet barbecue sauce. The sissy sauce is the closest I can get and it makes their bbq delicious. Great place to eat barbecue in Arlington.

Good atmosphere, good variety, good commercial fried and broiled seafood. Shrimp nice size, good breading. Crab legs nice, good value but over cooked. Catfish is Nor the good ISDA farm raised, imported, wet texture not white, sweet and flakes as the real stuff. Broiled selections good, but farm raised. Slaw very good, skip the fries and hushpuppies!

Have seen this place several times when visiting family, but never took the time or had the chance to enjoy this establishment. So glad we had the opportunity to do so during this trip to Texas. Staff was friendly and informative, the food was fantastic, from the ice tea to the perfectly prepared steak. Everything was great, the only flaw was that the service was a little slower than expected. Would definitely eat here again. Stop by and give it a try if you haven't already.

Delicious choices available from the Early-Bird menu - but make certain you ask. You may see an advertisement outside the restaurant regarding the special menu, but unless you specifically request it prior to 6:00 pm, itâs not handed to you, and youâll end up ordering from the regular menu. The steak kabobs and bacon-wrapped filets are excellent!

We were a little skeptical when we pulled up here. From the outside it's a little rough looking. But we went in and it's clean, friendly and they serve great food. I had the roast beef sandwich and my husband had the muffetta. We also shared an order of their crack macaroni. All were wonderful! Enjoy!

Can I say the ribs are so tender and flavorful. We did 4 meats. The sausage, brisket, ribs, and turkey. You canât go wrong. The sides were fried okra, coleslaw and beans. Very good coleslaw, not running. I recommend the trip.

We wanted a sit-down restaurant where people really feel at home. Where your neighbors wait on you and your whole family.
Great portions and good service, itâs the best fried chicken Iâve ever had. Get there early itâs a long wait and keep asking how long because itâs seems there is more than 1 waiting list
