The Istanbul Grill was located within 15 minutes of our B&B. Although it is located in a strip shopping center, the quality of food is excellent. The Istanbul Grill has a varied and reasonably priced menu offering many Turkish dishes. There were six of us for dinner and all of our entrees were very tasty with a great presentation. The restaurant has ample seating with a very low noise level. The service is very good but not obtrusive.

My wife and I have eaten at Taste of Europe three times over several years. The most recent was after Thanksgiving 2017. Ignore the neighborhood which may put off some folks. This business is a combination restaurant and store that stocks foods, stackable dolls, clothing...from Russia and Eastern Europe. The restaurant menu is similar - Russian foods and Eastern European (Poland, Hungary, Germany...). Prices may seem a tad high but portions are large (expect to share and/or take home food) and food is freshly and tastefully prepared/plated.. On this visit, my wife had the cabbage blintzes and I had JaegerSchnitzel. Both excellent and quite tasty. Wife also tried cold Borsch (Beet) soup and i tried the Sorel (spelling?) a sour soup with other veggies.

The restaurant has a nice selection of Russian and European beers (and I think? wine). We each tried a great cold draft - A Hefeweizen and another beer (?). We then splurged and had coffees and the sweet cheese Pierogis (oh so luscious). Made with Farmers Cheese if you are familiar with this cheese.

Service was excellent. Michael (proprietor) routinely makes the rounds and assists in serving. He even helped me to select some Russian cookies and chocolate to take to my sister-in-laws mother (born in Russia) in Wisconsin in an upcoming trip.

As you may know, Taste of Europe was featured on Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives (Food Network channel). This in itself speaks highly of the establishment. Better yet, if you enjoy Russian and/or Eastern European foods and like adventure, you will be thrilled to try this business. Walk around and enjoy the store, selection of Russian Military and Police badges, buttons, hats... and other genuine merchandise.

Babe's Chicken Dinner House

We wanted a sit-down restaurant where people really feel at home. Where your neighbors wait on you and your whole family.

I can see why this is the #1 dining spot in Arlington. It has a unique atmosphere, a bit loud inside though. We chose the catfish, chicken fingers and chicken fried steak, all which were very very good. Sides are just like grandma makes....absolutely everything was delicious right down to the fluffy biscuits.Green beans and corn tasted like they came right out of the garden. Loved the sorghum and honey on the table to drown your biscuits in. Service was pretty good , just a bit slow on the drink refills. We will be back to visit when in town.

The staff members are welcoming and very attendent to customer needs. They happily substitute if someone is allergic to certain items. The atmosphere is okay and prices are fair. Food here always tastes good. It's a good place to take department members for a lunch meeting.

If you come here and order nothing else, make sure you order the crackeroni. This delicious, home made mac and cheese with truffle oil is to die for. Sandwiches are made on fresh bread in huge portions. The dining area is very small which is the only reason I didn’t give them 5 stars.

Fantastic Tex-Mex, Mexican Restaurant. I just had the very best Mexican Meal in my lifetime (that’s 70+ Years). I started with Guacamole, that was prepared at our table. Then a Combination dinner, titled “The Bandido”... Full of flavor - pork tamales, cheese enchiladas and soft cheese tacos. Topped off with a one of a kind Mexican Vanilla Ice Cream dessert. Service was Excellent, and all in all priced very reasonably. This restaurant is great for singles, couples, groups. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to all of my family any friends. The best advice that I can give you is to clone hungry, sit down and enjoy one of the best meals in town.

Let’s see. This family has been smoking brisket for over 100 years; this defines Texas legacy. Been eating here occasionally for years but recently moved nearby and now stop by almost every week.

Inside the service is welcoming and Jimmy Harris is usually slicing brisket and asking how you’re doing and how you want your meat. The sides are made in house. Unlike most barbecue joint they know how to cut and make French fries.

The best thing is the chopped beef sandwich a mountain of smokiness on a buttery toasted bun. I like my sausage more rendered but its very good.

A great bargain is the smoked ham and Turkey at $10 a LB. If you’re buying grocery cold cuts this is a way better deal and makes great sandwiches through the week.

It was about 8:00 o'clock on a Saturday night and we were seated right away. Pappas was very busy but once our waitress (Melissa G.) began our drink order, we had excellent table side Guacamole and skinny 'ritas. The chicken fajitas were hot and delicious, served with fresh corn and flour tortillas ! Great experience, and Melissa G. was an attentive and patient waitress !

Saltgrass Steak House

Reviewed By jonahNJ - Pennington, New Jersey

During my most recent visit with my family in Texas, my mother, sister and I had lunch at this location.

We arrived at the right time—after the lunch rush and before the dinner rush. There a nice amount is seating near a roaring fireplace. The restaurant is very spacious with a rustic decor. Diners can choose from tables or booths--there is also bar seating available.

The menu is definitely geared towards meat eaters!

We started with the queso and tortillas. The queso warm and smooth with a generous amount of diced peppers and shredded brisket blended in the cheese. The tortillas were very fresh, warm and crispy. This was a delicious appetizer! We were also provided a small loaf of wheat bread with butter that was also warm and tasty Just be careful that you don't fill up on the bread since the portions of food are pretty generous. My meal came with a garden salad that was an average mixture of greens and other shredded vegetables. My entree was a pretty good chicken fried steak with white gravy and mashed potatoes.

Overall, I enjoyed my meal at Saltgrass. The service was very good as was the food. The next time I visit, I will probably choose the famous iced tea rather than the lemonade
