We are happy to welcome you in our very nice place called "Nature et Océan", it is a small family holiday village with wooden cabins situated near the Ocean (1800 meters away) between Messanges, Vieux Boucau and Moliets. Rent a cottage designed for 2 to 12 people on the Atlantic cost in family settings, calm, green and welcoming. Our establishment has a heated swimming pool, a jacuzzi and a sauna. We also provide a gym and a playground for children. Messanges is a beautiful location with its long sandy beaches, pine forest and long bike rails.

Reviewed By Ngwe001Travelling around this region recently we came up on this charming B&B. Beautiful room, wonderful food and a lovely relaxed atmosphere. Off the beaten track but well worth it. We were there in October which was quiet but they look like they are well set up for a host of summer visitors.

Huge room with a great view and bathtub. Highly enjoyable! Even though it's not near town, I could get to city centre via bus/walk and tram from Floirac-Dravement easily within 30 minutes. Safe and secure with passcodes to access gates and main doors after dark. Highly recommended!

Our kitchen was being changed in Vaux sur Mer. Should we ever have more guests than we can fit into our house, we will send them to Melisandre. Excellent value for money. And a big thank you!

Reviewed By 233christophepWe stayed three days to rest and visit the region. House are perfect. Big and clean with everything. Beds are good. We enjoyed the lake and the pool and brossac has a nice restaurant with a good baileys coffee.

Reviewed By CaudjmThis is my third year at the Natural Surf Lodge and I’m finally seeing my progress in surfing like never before. Claire and her family are an institution in this region and while the waves are some of the most difficult in France, it makes for the best place to learn. Mateo is a young but passionate teacher and he really gets you to understand the theory behind surfing. Claire always told me, “Once you learn to surf in this region, you can surf anywhere.” After trying other places like Hendaye, I can say it’s completely true! I also come here because I’m allowed to bring my small dog on the adventure. By the way, if you have a pet, make sure to come in September or later so they can enjoy the beach as well. Great place to travel solo as you’ll meet other people at the lodge and you’ll form some great new friendships with those who are also falling in love with surfing. The lodge is not a hotel and more like a communal space where you can either spend alone time or socialize with the group - it’s really up to you. Depending on the group, it can be very French so I can see the language barrier being an obstacle for some international visitors. Don’t hesitate to speak in English or ask the instructors to repeat something in English if you don’t understand. They are very understanding but can easily forget when it’s a mostly French group. This is my favorite place in France and I hope to come back soon and more often.

Reviewed By EamoCWe spent the last two weeks of August staying at Residence Les Tremieres after 10 years away from the region. On the last occasion we stayed on Ile D’Oleron; Bourcefranc le Chapus provides a more flexible base for a holiday as it is easy to get to the Island but you also do not have to contend with traffic every time you want to go elsewhere. The accommodation – We stayed in a 6 bed house. It was clean, comfortable, well equipped and everything worked. There is a garage between each house so you do not hear your neighbours, the terrace has a table, chairs and sunbeds. The pool – A good size and extremely well maintained. Our hosts – Gerard & Martine are very welcoming, they are always happy to help, easy to find but not in any way intrusive. Gerard & Martine are clearly very proud of the property, it is well designed and a great location for a holiday. Bourcefranc le Chapus is a fascinating little town, there are some very pretty streets, the port is small but busy as fishing is important. The sight of Fort Louvois at sunrise or sunset with a high tide is magnificent. If we return this area of France we will stay at Residence Les Tremieres again. Lovely place, great people - They deserve to be busy!

A beautifully designed fully furnished villa La Bruyere, fully equipped kitchen, complete and really everything is there to enjoy like a chef if you want. Bed- and bathrooms perfect. We already know the Dordogne but have now rediscovered it from a different home base. Because you feel at home very quickly. So relaxed, so from the peace and quiet into nature. We have wonderful walks, and talks with local friendly people. Beautiful surroundings with at 20 min walking distance Brantôme, the Venice of the Dordogne. And our hostess Helen was the icing on the cake. Every day available to assist, even when we came back home we found this email: I hope your return journey was hassle free? I am missing our morning chats whilst watering the roses!! , So we anwered, lucky you, we miss all mornings, afternoons and evenings there ?. Reviewed By Andytravels08A great base to explore this beautiful island. Nice swimming pool and good bike hire on site. Don’t bother paying for a sauna visit, it is set at 42 degrees, half the temperature it should be. Close to the beach and number of restaurants within walking distance.
