Reviewed By sheritherapistAmazing beautiful property. Filled with character and charm and in a perfect location, just a quick walk to the historic center and the magnificent Cathedral. Eva was incredibly helpful and kind. Everything from the stylish room with the spectacular terrace to the delicious breakfast exceeded our expectations. An underground parking garage is down the block for 18 euros/day. Wonderful place to stay if you’re visiting Leon!

Reviewed By Jose_AguiarThe check in process is very confuse. I called to figure where should I go, the person did not speak English. Finally I realized I should go to a different place. They provides 3 different passwords(building, room and Wi-FI). They don't have anybody to help you at the location address. Also if you pass one minute of noon of checkout date, the code the provide will not work anymore. I parked on a close street and asked to the hotel person if it was OK. She said YES. On following day I got a e$60 ticket. To be fair, the place is new and very well located, close to the cathedral.

Reviewed By chripAny stay at Las Nieves is like spending time with close friends. It is a model hotel: well organised, comfortable whatever the weather, everything works. Breakfast, for example, is a blue-print for what a modest rural hotel should (but rarely does) provide: fresh orange juice, expresso coffee, delicious croissants and toast. What more could you want? The food in the restaurant is outstanding and merits a separate critique.

Good but lots of little problems
Reviewed By bristolfoodie01I stayed here with my partner and baby for 2 nights in the one bed apartment for 4 people. Apartment is in a building containing several holiday rentals opposite the cathedral. Fantastic location. No car parking but there is a small public car park round the corner. We had no difficulty finding space but in high season you might. Apartment was on first floor. Looked like there was a lift but it wasn't working. There is an open plan kitchen/lounge/dining room which is tastefully furnished. Views of cathedral from the front window in lounge. Kitchen not well equipped even for basic cooking. We ended up just eating salad and that had to be served in a saucepan. No wine glasses, kettle, cereal bowls or tea towels and very limited utensils. 2 ring induction hob, old microwave and filter coffee maker. Fridge with small freezer/ice box. It's a shame there is no oven or washing machine. Bedroom also nicely furnished. Terrace leading off bedroom is large but not really somewhere you'd want to sit. There is a small plastic table and 2 chairs. Bathroom a little dated. No bath mat which is a shame as the shower leaks. No plug for the bath so couldn't use it. Included wifi was very slow, repeatedly cut out or just not available for long periods. The night before we left the manager brought a booster in but that made no real difference. Noise in the building really travels. You can hear everything from the stairwell and apartment above. Bedroom is at the back so no street noise. I wouldn't stay here again unless self catering was absolutely necessary.

Friendly hotel, superb food
Reviewed By MillbrookCottageWe think we must have had the best room with a terrace overlooking the village. The room was basic, but the welcome was second to none. The owner Sita and her son Primo were absolutely delightful, and Sita cooked us some really tasty trout and eels. The trout dish especially were delicious. The breakfast was also very good. The parking was a little far from our room, but it did not matter much to us.

Reviewed By LehangovinaUbicado muy cerca del Lago de Sanabria. El pueblo está dividido por la carretera que pasa y no es bonito ni muy accesible. Pero si te vas a mover en coche, la ubicación está bien. El apartamento muy limpio y adecuado. La cama cómoda. Todo lo necesario para poder cocinar y tener el apartamento recogido. También tienen lavadora en la parte de abajo que se comparte con el resto de apartamentos, cuando fuimos a usarla estaba limpia y nadie la estaba usando, así que genial. También tiene una pequeña zona de "relax" común con un balancín y unas sillas. En verano no se permite hacer barbacoa por el riesgo de incendios ( al ser parque natural), pero tiene una buena parrilla para poder usarla. La única pega que no tiene aire acondicionado pero en esta zona por la noche refresca mucho y se puede ventilar y dormir bien, aún así el apartamento se calienta muy rápido. Nos dejaron una bandeja con pan tostado, mermelada, mantequilla y unos sobaos para desayunar, todo un detalle. Y lo más importante, los peludos son bienvenidos! ?

Reviewed By Mari MApartamento muy confortable para dos personas, limpio y cómodo. Zona muy tranquila. En un entorno rodeado de montañas. Muy cerca de Riaño para visitar los Fiordos Leoneses y realizar rutas. A tan solo 15 minutos de Guardo (Palencia), donde encontraremos supermercados para comprar. La calidad-precio, excelente. Santi (el dueño), muy atento y nos hizo sentir como en casa. Tan solo especificar una cosa: aunque en la página indica que el apartamento tiene lavadora, esta es comunitaria, pero no hemos tenido ningún problema en este sentido. Para repetir en caso de volver por la zona.
