Reviewed By MauriceR1302This used to be a nice B&B where i have stayed a few times. In the past you were welcomed with a glass of champagne. Not so anymore, during the weekend you receive a code to enter the facility and the room, there is nobody to welcome you and no glass of champagne. The rooms are starting to get dated and also the breakfast is still very basic : no eggs in the morning and very basic coffee. The worst however is that the owner is renting one of the spaces on a permanent basis and these tenants kept us awake every hour till 04.00 am because they go outside for smoking. The later it became the more drunk they were and the more noise they made... After complaining did the owner offer me a 10 % discount and the message that i should have complained to the tenants myself

Reviewed By chap325Two friends had difficulty climbing stairs so when I booked in January for a stay on 19 May I asked for two of three rooms to be on the ground floor. I was offered three on the first floor, which I reluctantly accepted. On arrival we were given one on the first floor and two on the second. When I complained The young man behind the desk said that they were full. I pointed out that I had booked over three months earlier. He said the confirmation had been made by the owner and he couldn't do anything about it. This caused considerable inconvenience. The rooms were OK, and so was the food. The restaurant is in the sister hotel next door. The price was higher than usual for that type of Logis hotel, but I guess they take advantage of being in the champagne area, with big demand from visitors to the vineyards. The hotel is in the town centre. The picture of a vineyard is misleading

A real discovery
Reviewed By steve bMyself and my wife visit Champagne 2 to 3 times each year and whilst we have visited the Cote De Blanc for tastings we have never considered staying in the area as we’ve preferred to stay in either Epernay or Reims. This was a real discovery as not only did we get to taste some excellent champagne but we also stayed on site within the most fantastically converted barn. The accommodation and decor is first rate and certainly better than any of our experiences in Epernay. Our host, Jacqueline was exceptionally friendly and extremely knowledgeable on the subject of champagne. We dined locally in Vertus, where you have a handful of choices. We enjoyed a very good breakfast before departing for London. Well done & thank you Jaqueline!

Beautiful castle in the champagne area
Reviewed By norahbenWe came here with the whole family and rented 3 rooms. Everything was beautifully decorated with high quality furniture and lovely reception by the host. The owner and his son were personally hosting us and assuring we had everything we needed to feel at home. Make sure to taste their own produced champagne, truly remarkable coming right from the garden in the back of the castle. We enjoyed breakfast with fresh croissants, baguette and jam provided by the host with a beautiful view on the vineyards. Thank you for the great stay, we will definitely come back !

De l'accueil téléphonique jusqu'au départ, nos hôtes se sont montrés chaleureux, accueillants et soucieux de notre bien être. Dîner et petit déjeuner copieux et goûteux. Intérieur très propre et soigné. Je recommande vivement.

Terrible hosts, look for the fine print
Reviewed By 49henninghWe've been denied our stay as we've missed some of the fine print in the conditions of the Villa Eustache. However, having prepaid by Credit Card, we didn't get a refund either. In the whole process, Anne-Sophie only spoke French with us (which my wife doesn't speak). In order to avoid being "lost in translation", we've had one of our other hôtes call them. It turned out that it wasn't us, nor French - Anne-Sophie and her husband stuck to their fine print, wouldn't accept us nor give us a refund. The other hôte calling on out behalf also emphasized that they were very unfriendly, and rejected all the ideas for alternatives that she was giving from one professional to another. Instead, she was worried that the husband was going to insult her. Better think twice before booking here...
