Wonderful Hotel in such a small community
Reviewed By SirenaS_13We rented multiple rooms for multiple day for a family gathering. The hotel provided clean rooms, all of the hotel is well cared for. Staff were amazing and very polite. We had 15 rooms booked with multiple unique needs. Staff met them all!! Linens and towels were clean and pristine! Lobby and rooms were spotless. Refrigerator and coffee maker in ALL the rooms. Pets were allowed, thank god. But you didn't know they were there. Breakfast is included and was delicious and plentiful. The hotel was full, many people ate at there and staff kept it stocked. Pool was very clean as well was weight room. We were able to use conference room for a meal we had brought in, very accommodating. Would stay again. We appreciated everything.

I was impressed with the breakfast-- i don't normally eat breakfast but i did find something to eat. I will definitely recommend this place.

Reviewed By B2493DYkathylInexpensive hotels don't have a lot going for them, except they are inexpensive. I arrived in my room on a 50 degree day to find the AC on HIGH. The room was freezing and I had to leave until it warmed up and it took hours - I kept my jacket on. The bathroom floor is sticky, my shoes are sticking to it. There are three lamps in the room and no overhead light when you enter the room. Very dimly lighted. No coffee maker in the room. What??? Only 3 hangers in the closet. What's with these TINY, TINY bars of soap?

Reviewed By SherryY46The picture below shows you the actual room that was one end to the other. This is the room I got for 3 people. I asked for a different room but they were booked full. I had to sleep in my car at 67 years of age so the rest of my family could have the bed. I asked for a refund so I could go elsewhere and was refused. So disappointing and ruined our day

Nice alternative to Okoboji area
Reviewed By AverageGuy999We had a family function in the Okoboji area, but didn't want to pay $140-$200 for a room. So, we looked up Spencer (about 15-20 minutes south) and found the EconoLodge. It's a simple, no-frills motel, but we didn't have any complaints at all. It was *hot* when we were there, but the A/C worked great. Rooms were fairly spacious, and had everything you'd need -- fridge, microwave, small table with 2 chairs, and a very large flat screen TV. And as someone else already mentioned, the beds & pillows were great, too. Their breakfast was nice, too. There was only seating for about 15-20, but it never got too crowded. They had a waffle maker, cereal, fruit, eggs, and biscuits & gravy, yogurt, and some other odds & ends. They did a great job of keeping everything stocked throughout the morning. We were more than happy with our stay!
