Reviewed By Companion25664112783Unfinished terrace. Very dirty pool and sitting area! We also were not informed until arrival that the restaurant was not open. Very friendly staff and breakfast was good. Booked on Booking.com who totally changed our review! We all had bad sickness whilst staying there too. All in all our 4 night stay was a nightmare.

PERFECT FOR A SHORT BREAK
Reviewed By Michael SAs I only stayed one night, my experience of this hotel was limited, but there was little to criticise. The hotel, being recently built, was in very good condition, and well presented, if small. I found the bed too hard for my liking, but I slept well enough, and as the room was at the back, it was very quiet. The room was clean, and everything seeed to work. Breakfast was fine. I had little contact with the hotel staff, so can't comment on service. I have never stayed in a hotel which contains a police station, so it was rather bizarre to have gendarmes walking through the breakfast area to get cups of coffee ! We had to park in the lane opposite the hotel as the parking was full, but that only involved a walk of 100m. All in all, I was happy with my stay.

During this health crisis of covid 19, we apply a precise disinfection protocol, with ozone treatment in each room and between each client. The Hotel sur le Quai has been renovated in 2017, and decorated in modern style with reference to the Catalan culture and, of course, to the history of Port-Vendres. The hotel has 8 premium category room with balcony and panoramic view on the port, and 14 standard rooms. Every room has a new decoration and has new beds. Each one has a private bathroom, soundproof air conditioning, flat led tv and free WIFI access. Directly situated on the quay, the hotel is benefiting from a prime location in front of the port, with a free public car park, at 10 minutes by foot from beaches and 1 minute to public transportation. Also next to many restaurants and shops. It is very easy to walk around or go to farer places. It is also a good opportunity to participate to port’s activities, fishermen, look at cargos, cruise liners and other vessels. You will find all information at the hotel reception. Every morning, an international buffet breakfast is served. For architectural and technical reasons, the hotel does not have any lift. It is unfortunately unable to welcome the people with reduced mobility.

Under pines centuty years old the villa bleu terrasses on the top of the hill of port vendres offers tremendous views on the sea side and the Banyuls Vineyard : swimmingpool , wine tasting, cloisters visits and farniente are on the top of the programm.

AWFUL HOTEL AND DODGY LOCATION
Reviewed By Donna214We booked this hotel on-line going by the lovely photos and description of where it was, a short stroll into Collioure which straight away was wrong, it was at least 4-5 kms away. The location can only be described as the Bronx (lots of dodgy characters hanging around) and we were fearful of leaving our transport parked in the area as seriously thought it wouldn't be there in the morning! To be fair the room wasn't too bad if you ignored the Easyjet orange walls and the bedding was clean but the balcony door had no lock on it so we weren't confident about going out and leaving our stuff in the room. We actually went to see if the Ibis along the coast had any rooms as we really didn't want to stay but they were full, as were others we tried so had to stay put. Totally false advertising and would NOT recommend anyone stay at this hotel. We are not snobs by any means and subsequently stayed at 1* hotels for the rest of our trip and they far outshined this hell-hole!

It is nestled between the sea and the mountains, between the beautiful cities of Collioure and Banyuls, very far away from the grey, daily routine of big cities. The Paquebots is a wonderful place to spend your holidays and enjoy your hobbies !
Friendly, well located and parking
Reviewed By LaCassaigneThis is a small, family-run and therefore friendly hotel well-located in a side street about 90 metres from the touristy waterfront. Although the rooms are 'tired', the sheets (even an upper sheet!) are white and crisp and there is a working air-conditioner, items not usually seen in a low-starred hotel. The breakfast is good value. The large garage directly opposite the hotel offers secure parking. Not flash, but well run and if you aren't spending much time in your room it is good value.
