Reviewed By taigawWe stayed in two different hotels in Myeik before we luckily booked two nights in Regent Hotel. While Grand Jade Hotel was an absolutely horrible stay (don’t go there!), Eain Taw Phyu Hotel was ok, but not overwhelmingly good. Regent Hotel was certainly the best hotel we stayed at in Myeik. Rooms were super cozy, breakfast was great and the staff really went the extra mile. Their English was at a really high level and they were able to book our desired bus ride to Kawthaung while the travel agency (life seeing) had told us there were no seats left (also the hotel didn’t charge a service fee). If you want to have an enjoyable stay in Myeik, make sure to stay at the Regent Hotel!

Worst hotel of my trip so far
Reviewed By martinr24583First of all the staff is quite nice and tries to be helpful although there English is not very good so it’s hard to communicate. My room was very basic, no air conditioning only a fan. No window which resulted in a lot of mosquitos in the room. I preferred to use my sleeping bag not sure about the bed. The shared bathrooms not even had a western toilet (all other hotels and hotels in Myanmar had) the breakfast was ok but not more. No WiFi in my room so I had to go outside to go online. I don’t know how to describe the overall atmosphere. It did not feel like a guesthouse more like a communist functional building (sorry for the comparison, but coming from east Germany this comparison just came to my mind)

Reviewed By I8682CJjackhDid not expect the hotel to be this nice. Spacious room and cheap rate. The breakfast area on the rooftop has the panoramic view of the sea and the islands. Beautiful scenery while having delicious breakfast. No hot water for shower and no kitchen are the only two negative things. And staffs are really friendly and helpful as well.

Reviewed By OoddyjerawatVery comfy. Near airport and located on the seashore. Can see the sunset from this hotel. Large swimming pool and mangrove area. Natural and simple yet with characters. The fisherman village is nearby and you can experience their daily lives.

Hotel is just refurbished and there is a lift which is such a blessing for me? coz I hate climbing up thousands of stairs to reach my room at fifth floor. (the scenery from my room is incredible?) The service is also excellent, breakfast is super delicious, has free WiFi, and hotel room is also tidy and spotless. ~HIGHLY RECOMMENDED HOTEL~ Note: There is pictured of newly refurbished hotel attached below which I got from hotel page
