The rooms are clean, spacious, and net connectivity through Wifi are remarkable. Breakfast is very attractive with local traditiinal food and the services are quite perfect. I usually choose to stay at Queen Jamadevi whenever I visit to Mawlamyine.

Rooms here were very comfortable, clean, hot water and large. The restaurant with the complimentary breakfast was beautiful, a great “feeling” from its ambience. We will certainly be back!

And Sue his wife runs the restaurant with excellant meals. Nay speaks very good english. Family staff makes uour stay very confortable. Breakfast ok for the price. 9/10

Amazing place to stay
Reviewed By pzinkenI stayed in a riverside bungalow and really enjoyed. Spacious room with seperate bedroom and terrace, nicely decorated, comfortable and well equiped. A good value for the money. The location at the riverside is good, many places in downtown Mawlamyine are in walking distance (market, pagodas, night market...). Stuff was very welcoming and helpful. They arrange every kind of transport like local Tuk-Tuks or train tickets (without any surcharge!). Beakfast was local as usual. The restaurant at the riverfront is nice for a sundowner, food was avarage nd to expensive. For better dining visit the night market. Wifi was very good and beds are comfortable, not as hard as usually.

Reviewed By CctdrBest things are location (between town and Kyaikhtiyoe) and views (to mountains especially). Swimming pool area has best view with mountain backdrop. There are not so many rooms but existing ones are good. Moderate breakfast at lobby but the hidden tip is that small shop within hotel compound which is run by staff family (they say) has very good local dinner experience.

Disappointing
Reviewed By Chiara MI booked through Agoda a standard room with twin beds. On arrival I was informed that they could not do 2 beds in a standard so we had to get 2 rooms despite having confirmed twice online and having paid in full. Anyway. We got 2 rooms. Both rooms on arrival were dirty. Insect poo and marks on linen and the floor.i asked for housekeeping to come which thankfully they immediately did. The bathroom is a wet room - not a big issue but if you're expecting a Western bathroom be aware. The bed is rock hard, but most mattresses in Asia are. I'd go early for breakfast. It's cooked at 6am and left uncovered and unheated from then. It's a good variety of food but they need to keep it heated and covered for hygiene purposes. Staff spoke minimal English but were happy to help even if communication took a few days and lots of pictures! Unfortunately cleanliness was the biggest problem throughout the hotel, the lobby, restaurant and rooms always consistently dirty floors and stained curtains etc. Housekeeping was OK. It's a decent comfortable hotel but could definetly improve for the price.

Reviewed By danahlainePretty good. Value worth it. It would be better they install another layer of curtain. The sun was raised around 6 and intrudes my eyes although the curtain was closed. Service is good. The room is clean and big even for standard room. Recommanded

The Starlight Resort is a peaceful new destination, located just north of Ye town in southern Mon State. Our bungalows are clean, comfortable, and built to western standards. We offer free breakfast, advice, and maps for touring the area, motorbikes and bicycles for rent, and English-speaking guide services. All the rooms have windows with nice views, and patios.

David and his wife were very kind and helpful, and tried to make our stay as comfortable as possible. They recommended trips, restaurants and things to do while in town, and helped us arrange further transport. Cheers guys!

Reviewed By roox001Helt ok hotell med Burmesiskt mått. Egen pool och frukost på morgonen. Vänlig och trevlig personal. Hotellet ligger en bit från strandpromenaden. Bra ställe att utgå ifrån för olika utflykter. Vi cyklade runt.
