Reviewed By travelwithshreyaOur hotel was decent though the room was very small with no windows – but we could manage for a night because of its excellent location.Our room was small yet cosy and very clean with basic amenities like aircon, free WiFi, and also breakfast was included in our stay. It is actually a great choice for travelers who are interested in street markets, street food, and city walks. The hotel is also located close to famous pagodas like Shwedagon pagoda, which is only 3.5 km away, hence can be easily reached by a taxi. Sule pagoda is only 1.5 km away, hence walkable.

Reviewed By Annabel OI love staying in the smaller, family owned hotels in a new country. You’re welcomed as an individual instead of a number, and Mango Hill is a great example of that. The staff are lovely, and the owner chatted to us about the country and history. It’s incredibly clean and comfy, and has lovely views of the district at sunrise. The monks come by for rice too which is nice to watch. It’s in the suburbs but not too far in a taxi to the main sights. Thanks for the stay Mango Hill family. Annabel

Mila Noa is located in a second downtown area of Yangon called Myaynigone. There are so much this location has to offer - be it a close watch on local lifestyle, or people of different religions living together harmoniously. Take a ride on a man-driven trishaw or hop on a bus or sit and relax like a local in nearby teashop. If you wanna have a taste of everyday life of Myanmar people, this is just the right place to be. At the same time, we are dedicated for travelers who want to have a clean and comfortable stay at wallet-friendly price.

Reviewed By FongSooSanThe staff service is really great. The front desk girls were really helpful, housekeeping, bellboy and restaurant helpers were very nice. I like this hotel generally - location is good, overall design is bright and clean, comfy bed. It's also relatively new - i have seen worse hotels of similar price range in Yangon. However Mila Noa certainly needs to look into maintenance to maintain its good condition. Can see some parts of the rooms are already not in super good condition. My toilet is constantly leaking from the ceiling - gonna complain again tomorrow. And there was a dead cockroach when i checked in, and a LIVE cockroach in the bathroom in the middle of the night!!!! freaked me out! The rooftop restaurant is not very well maintained too. And they don't have coffee for breakfast this morning! thats near criminal! I still like it here - hoping the hotel will look into better maintenance, so that i can still come back and stay here during my next trip.

The hotel has seen better days but everything in both of the rooms we stayed in was fully functional - excellent a/c, very reliable internet (better than many other more expensive places in Yangon). The rooms we chose were quiet and, as I was working whilst traveling, that was essential. The manager and his wife went out of their way to make sure we had the best of stays. I am looking forward to our future visits and cannot recommend it highly enough. For a basic, budget hotel, it goes far and beyond expectations.

Hotel is located next to a big mall area, which is good for shopping if you are into that. Breakfast is buffet style and it was included in our price. We were here for quite a few days during COVID lockdown. We cannot thank them enough for all the warmth and kindness they had with us. We truly recommend this hotel in Yangon!

Amazing surprise for the price!
Reviewed By cheriebridgesBeing cheaper than all of my backpacker stays so far in Yangon, I stayed at Kaung Lay Inn for six nights - and had a better experience than all the others! The room/bed was massive, and perfectly clean. Love the teak interior, and the breakfast room is beautiful in the morning. Which brings me to breakfast. Pancakes, honey and fruit to start with - then eggs on toast with tea or coffee. A welcome change from the rice and noodles I was served at breakfast at other (pricier) hotels - and filled me up to bursting point. The staff were all so friendly and helpful, and willing to go to the ends of the earth to make your stay enjoyable. I felt completely safe and welcome as a solo traveller- really can't recommend this place enough. Top tip: As its slightly off the beaten track, some taxi drivers had difficulty finding it. But its located right next to the throat, ear and nose hospital (which everybody knows) - so ask to be taken there and walk the 30 seconds to Kaung Lay Inn. Enjoy your stay! I'll definitely be coming back.

Lovely hideaway in busy Yangon
Reviewed By K10HCloud 10 is centrally located, but off the busy roads so it has a calm atmosphere. Our room was comfortable, and they have a lovely patio bar/restaurant with a great breakfast. There are several nice restaurants in walking area, and you are close to the pagoda.
