Nice and dynamic place
Reviewed By jeromep281I spent 3 nights there in a shared room. The place is clean, staff always smiling and ready to help you, food is good and the atmosphere is pretty cool ! You also have a big place where you can lock your valuable things, which is great when you don't want to carry everything on you ! I also tryed the Ostello Bello Bagan and it was all the same !

Reviewed By Allan152I enjoyed my stay here and certainly will stay again. The staff are friendly and helpful. It is well located. Some temples are within walking distance, if you like to hoof it. Tuk Tuks are always available. It is near restaurants, a bank is a few doors down, and the post office (if you send post cards) is across the street. The rooms are clean and comfortable, the price is very reasonable, and they have a small swimming pool, if you care for an afternoon splash. An excellent breakfast buffet is included. The restaurant is also open for lunch and dinner. Don't miss their tomato salad! I cannot answer questions related to COVID, as I was there just before the pandemic exploded.

Overall good, but last day was ruined by food poisoning
Reviewed By Ansh_VarOverall the private room I had booked was fine. Concrete floor. Helpful staff, very good location. Shared bathroom is fairly clean. The hostel is okay on the socia side, not great, although they don't organise events themselves. However, on the last day I had some eggs which I most definitely got FOOD POISONING from later on in the day. This completely RUINED the whole day. Two things would help, however. The rooms themselves could do with a mirror, this wouldn't be hard to do so I am really not sure why this has not been done. It would help with getting ready in the morning/evening. I noticed that my room was not serviced daily, not sure why, but upon reading the other reviews here it seems it SHOULD have been. If they can solve those issues this hostel probably would have at least four stars.

Quite possible the cleanest hostel ever
Reviewed By roamsweetroam91Stayed here in January 2019 for 3 nights. The rooms were spacious and incredibly clean. The beds were comfy. We arrived super early in the morning having just gotten the train from Mandalay. They provided us with an early breakfast and recommended we check out the free Bagan tour. (You only pay for your scooter hire, which is reasonably priced). The tour was great and e saw some gorgeous temples that weren't completely crowded. The other ostello bello just up the road has great nightlife. This one is quieter but does have a pool and reasonably priced beers.

Maya Bagan has 1 bunglalow which holds 3 private rooms and 2 terrace buildings which hold 8 dormitories. MB has restaurant and bar in a beautiful garden. There are common areas to meet new people and places to chill and read books under the trees.

Reviewed By 763asafdStaff are not nice and not helpful. The rooms are not clean and even nasty.it was my worst stay at Myanmar .I run away after one night. This place not in a good location and far from everything... Not worth the money

Nice place with great potential
Reviewed By MauriVarese_ItalyThe Hotel is really nice, with beautiful and clean rooms around a nice garden. The staff is really kind even thought most of them need to improve a bit English. Breakfast is ok, but they should avoid to provide the full set to every customer, leaving everyone decide what they want to eat. Sometimes a bit of smell comes from the toilet, but I think they just need to provide a good WC deodorant in every room. a really good value for money considering position and dimension of rooms.

Reviewed By jayvergService was courteous, welcoming and staff always smiled and greeted us. Location is very good Mattresses are confortable Sink in the bathroom had a leaking pipe, so all the water went on to the bathroom floor. No sheets were o the bed for us to cover ourselves with, except for the blankets. No towels in the room. Very simple breakfast, only bread and jam. Room door is a window door, with a partial curtain, so privacy is not so certain

Birthday Trip! Excellent stay, staff and activities!!!!
Reviewed By TurboTravelerTashaThis was my favorite hostel in Myanmar!!! I stayed here 3 nights. Booked the private room as I wanted to splurge for my 36th birthday. Great decision! Clean, comfortable room. Friendly staff! Delicious restaurant on site and the bar was very convenient! I met so many amazing people here from all over the world. The activities and free tours they provide made everything so easy (esp for solo travelers). I was able to sign up the day before. I did the free Bagan tour, Mt. Popa tour, sunset boat trip on my birthday which was the highlight!! We had such a fun time on the boat, drinking and dancing. Gorgeous sunset. By the end of the evening, we were like family. The staff even provided a birthday cake and sang "happy birthday!" along with all my new friends at the hostel. If you want to rent motorbikes, there is a place right next to the hostel. Very cheap. Location is excellent! You are on the main road so lots of restaurants and a place to exchange money (inside a grocery store). There are 2 massage places within walking distance too. Have fun and enjoy! Thank you Ostello Bello for such a memorable birthday!!!
