To single out Chef Martin who was at my service and encouraged to sample various Cuisine. The variety was excellent. Also to acknowledge Guest Relations Julia who was daily concerned of my feedback on anything I would need done and of course her guidance on knowing Maputo. Thanks for enrolling me onto the royalty program. The gym facility was excellent and it was always refreshing to re-energize in the gym after a busy day. To everyone right from the potters, to the reception and security and everyone, I will always look forward to your reception while in Maputo

The bus stop to and from Maputo is just around the corner and the place is accessible by regular car and motorbike all year round. The excellent Wifi is provided free of charge. The beaches are pristine and offer mostly a perfect spot to enjoy the sun and dip the tropical water. One for the 'Ladies' and another for the 'Gents'. There's a central Lapa with coffee and tea facilities. A fridge offers a considerable choice of cool drinks, beers, ciders and spirits based on the principle of 'honesty' bar. A dinner service is available for the guests who go for 'fine cuisine'. Delicious 3 course meals are served every night at 7. The accommodation offers one free secure parking spot per unit. Extra street side parking spots are available if more is needed. Highlights of the village are 'Swimming with Dolphins. Scuba Diving. Quad Bike Rentals. Deep Sea Fishing Charters. A Lighthouse Walk and a Ponta Malongane Hike.

Beautiful Accomodation with jungle vibe

We stayed as a 6 person group in 3 cosy tents. Very friendly staff, great breakfast and coffee (actual coffee, not instant). The owner Shaun always had a tip on where to eat, what hikes to go for, who to call for setting up a scuba dive and and when the sun would shiw up (we had heavy rainfall in the beginning of our stay). The accomodation has a parking lot.

A Gem of note

Reviewed By AasGaf

through a toll gate over Maputo bridge, the road (via Google Maps) leads you to a dusty meander of dirt road (if wet, is a nightmare without an SUV), for about 20min which would make anyone second guess their decision of booking at Gallery Hotel, but as the road ends and you see your destination on the right, you're still not convinced, until you step in. From the moment you exit the car, the security guard ensures you're parked well for your stay. The reception and service is hospitable, local, and professional. The authentic look of the building already makes you forget the dirt road travelled. A small gallery of rememberance to Samora Micheal helps you understand the importance of this icon and freedom fighter. A welcoming drinks helps from the heat, but adds to the pleasant invite. A sea side upgrade is always welcomed, as your balcony is no stranger to crashing waves, and shaded palm trees. Sandra, Nelson, and Julio, took personal care and interest in our banter and questions about the hotel and surrounds. An excellent, mouth watering, and well priced menu had us in the Marisol restaurant every night. The hotel courtyard is set up in a way that evokes community and sense of privacy. Should you find yourself in Maputo district, this gem on the other side +-40min away is work the stay. I'd rate it 6stars. Aasief and Zureenah, Cape Town, South Africa

I was disappointed with my room, as there were no amenities in the room The design of the bathroom is crazy, with the toilet right in front of the hand basin and shower, with no room to move at all! No hook to hang towels anywhere in the bathroom. I had to use a hand towel as a shower mat, as a mat wasn't provided. The breakfast is very limited, and so many of the buffet items had run out and you have to ask a waiter to replace the dishes! BUT the views are great, and it's good to see the hotel open again at last! It can only get better

Good for a overnight stay (or two)

Reviewed By LachinMM

We stayed at Liv Inn one night on our way and it was a nice stay, Definitely more than expected I must say. I was also surprised and amazed by the room as it is such a tiny room as you'd expect to see in japan or so... anyway, we did arrive late and left early so there was not much to explore.. our friends had a dorm room which was almost the better option if you do like your space. If you are not planning on staying in the room all day with your partner, it should be fine. Closets are outside, since there is not much room in the room but I wonder who'd leave any values out there? Rooms did not have mosquito nets or mosquito doors, which was a little annoying, especially after a shower. I did enjoy the coziness but also, you are showering right above the toilet. It was an experience but the water does travel a certain distance and if you have any values nearby.... which is not far! Water pressure was a bit funny but it did warm up nicely. The facility is not huge but does include a pool, grill area, a lobby/ hangout area with Tv, books, games and magazines and right there is also the kitchen alongside some more private rooms. The late night snack was much appreciated, since the kitchen was already closed. The meal was an average burger but prepared by friendly service team. Check-in and our were easy with no issues. Over all, a nice little stay.
