Reviewed By Jon HClean and modern with an excellent location (quiet, yet close to the major thoroughfare). The staff was friendly and helpful. I was a little surprised/disappointed with a lot of spots on the carpet in our room, but otherwise everything was clean and comfortable.

My stay was "Eh" - the opposite of Quality
Reviewed By kennethaerPros: The beds were pleasantly comfortable and it was actually surprisingly quiet for the amount of people there. Cons: 1) Reception - wasn't even greeted - felt like they were doing me a favor by checking me in. Unpleasant demeanor and said the least amount of words possible. 2) Room - some of this stuff was laughable - the TV reception in the entire building was terrible/grainy. How hard is it to get clear cable reception to a hotel?? - the office chair in the room had an arm completely broken off and it was just laying on the chair - The toilet cover doesn't even go that toilet and didn't fit - hilarious - the light switch didn't turn on any lights as I entered the room - had to go in the dark to turn on a lamp - the paint in the bathroom was in horrible shape and shredding off of the walls - The clothing hangers were all over the place, including the floor - how hard is it to hang hangers neatly? - the towels looked like they were folded by toddlers and thrown on the shelf - the room smelled like an old ash tray - However, room was quiet and the bed was comfy

Reviewed By SweetGirl505Hotel was average. It appeared they were just plain out short-staffed. There was no hot breakfast, but instead guests were given breakfast bags that consisted of a muffin, granola bar, apple and water. (Hot coffee was also available). Not a huge deal, but I don't know of any hotel that's still keeping Covid restrictions that strict. The indoor pool was also closed, "due to Covid." I wasn't planning on using it - but I wish they would have just stated it was due to short staffing. The room wasn't bad at all, but it could have used a good scrub down. A few stains on the shower curtain, and a dirty brown mark on the wall beside my closet. Again, nothing major at all - just needed a good scrubbing. The kitchenette was wonderful and cleaned thoroughly. The best thing about the hotel was the staff. Far and above - they were all incredibly friendly. 10/10, each person I interacted with was so lovely and kind. The young man who checked me in was so nice and welcoming. I didn't get his name, but he was a true gem. The young woman who gave me breakfast was so sweet. The housekeeper was so sweet. All around - a very pleasant experience with the staff. I felt very safe at the hotel, especially compared to other hotels in the area. There was no noise at all. Considering the low-cost, I feel the inconveniences here were minor enough that I would not hesitate to return.

HORRIBLE STAY
Reviewed By chiqritafRooms not adequately cleaned especially the bathroom. Cigarette burns in the covers. Spider webs everywhere. Pillows worn..I’m picky about hotel rooms because I myself have been a housekeeper and I know how rooms should be cleaned. Then around 12:30 in the morning a group of people arrived next to our room and partied all night.(Needless to say my husband had worked all day and was tired plus we had our 2 year old with us) Loud talking, music playing. (Not only in the room But outside as well) They were even trying to come in our room through the joint room entrance. It’s 3:30 and I’m still up because of the noise....Just horrible. WE WILL NEVER STAY HERE AGAIN. If I could have given ZERO stars I would have!!

Average/Poor room and property
Reviewed By csimon384137Personal stay while exploring the area. Property condition was average. First room assigned had previously been occupied by a smoker. Requested reassignment and received another room. This one was okay but furniture was chipped/worn. Bed springs creaked and very uncomfortable. Shower/sink was clean but water was slimy coming out of the taps. Perhaps local water quality is poor. Breakfast was a bag lunch, pool/fitness center unusable.

Reviewed By 963melissanDon’t let the sign out front fool you. There’s no free continental breakfast. No food at all. Thankfully the room was clean. The bathroom door wouldn’t close completely. Night shift manager was very nice and helpful. Day shift manager, not so much. Cleaning ladies were leaving notes in some of the rooms wanting tips left for them... Not exactly what you want going on at the place you're staying!

Creepy, Ugly, and Nasty
Reviewed By kmccor597813My daughter described it as the above, Creepy, Ugly, and Nasty. LOL. To begin with, AL is an hour difference in time than Florida. We were to check in at 3 p.m. Well, it was 1:30 AL time. Which I thought was 2:30 p.m. EST at first. There's no one at the counter, you have to call them on the phone. The teenage boy on the other end barely mutters a no , sorry when asked if you can check in a little early. Yet, I saw two key cards on the hotel counter behind the glass. The lobby is turned into a storage closet thrown with junk in it. Once we did check in, there was some stickiness on the bedside table that no one cleaned up. There was a cigarette looking hole in one of the blankets. The carpet looks like it was tearing up. Very disappointing. On the sign in the front, it says "free continental breakfast. " When I asked the young man, again he barely utter a "no, breakfast". The pool was out of order. But I don't think I would want to swim in it anyway. Ewwwwww..... Worst place I ever stayed in my life. Caused my daughter to cry and say she wanted to go home.

Walking distance to local shops and restaurants. Many local things to see and explore. Love antique shopping, you need to check out our local dealers. Walk the Historic district, you'll be staying in one built in 1905. Enjoy the front porch with curtains for privacy and a fire pit to keep you comfortable in the Fall and Spring. Come as a client, leave as a friend.

Reviewed By crnalinda23We planned a last-minute getaway to the pretty town of Eufala. Luckily we found a room available at Baker Street Bed and Breakfast. This is a beautiful B&B in the heart of the historic area of Eufala. The location is convenient to the shops, restaurants and amenities of downtown. It is also located on the walking tour of the area. It is a short drive to the lake, picnic sites, etc. The owners, Bruce and Mary Ellen, truly make you feel welcome; we felt as though we were visiting old friends. Their home is tastefully furnished and decorated in a period-appropriate manner. Both the porch and backyard are also available and comfortable. Bruce and Mary Ellen offered a wealth of information about the area, including sites, restaurants, and various attractions. They were available for every need, and even shared an evening glass of wine with us after we returned from dinner. Breakfast the next morning was beautifully presented and delicious! We highly recommend a visit to Eufala and at stay at this wonderful B&B!
