In addition to our original 15 fully-furnished one and two bedroom apartments, we have added some equally unique one-bedroom rooms/mini-suites and small apartments over at The Annex. All our rooms and apartments are unique in layout and size, with polished timber floors, high ceilings and a homely heritage feel. The property is ideal for those looking for a higher standard of accommodation with a bit of uniqueness and history thrown in. Single-night stays are no problem at Kernow (although we'd love you to stay longer!), and we can provide a free in-room simple continental breakfast for all guests. Children age 12 and over are welcome. Come and relax with us whether travelling for business or leisure. We also have a golf driving range, a very well-equipped gym with brand new exercise equipment, a table-tennis table and have our re-furbished tennis court. Tennis rackets and balls and a few golf clubs are available free of charge for guests to use.

Reviewed By 157leighhA great stay at Kernow. At the edge of town but quiet and peaceful. Luxurious apartment with tasteful decor, very spacious, right next to the pool. All needs catered for including a refrigerated poolside bar. Hosts were very friendly and helpful, great to chat to someone when you’re far from home. Breakfast amply supplied including eggs. Would highly recommend this destination.

In need of a few repairs, but not bad for the price
Reviewed By kateandjakeWas disappointed with the furniture in the combined lounge / dining room. The couch was very worn and damaged which had tried to be repaired with black tape, however the tape had come off and left a sticky residue. There was also a hole in the floor in the small bathroom. Apart from that the 2 bedroom unit was well stocked with everything you needed to prepare your own meals, and the area we were in, despite backing on to the road, was quiet and private. We were arriving late and the owners arranged for the key and instructions to be left in their letterbox. I got to chat briefly to the owners in the morning when I was checking out and they were friendly and helpful. If I found myself in Charters Towers again, I would likely try to find somewhere else to stay - however if you are looking for a self-contained unit for a family at a reasonable place, the Charters Towers Tourist Park should be considered.

Nothing fancy but given that we were three adults sharing the room, another key would have made sense. On the Highway with service station opposite.

Especially loved the extras … bottled water & small treats. Room / bathroom was lovely & clean. Even though it’s in the highway did not hear any noise.

Rooms were standard but the highlight was the pool area with outdoor kitchen and bbqs - - well we spent our evenings there - very enjoyable. We offer good old fashion country hospitality and have all the features you would expect - spotlessly clean amenities, self contained cabins, grass and slab powered sites, tent sites, tropical pool, huge well equipped camp kitchen, BBQ's, dump point, kiosk, free wireless internet, jumping pillow, ensuite van sites and we are the closest park to town. Our large fire pit is a great place to share a drink and travel stories with your new found friends. Our chooks, vege and herb gardens provide fresh produce for us all to enjoy. Head chef, Tanya, will do her best to provide delicious and value for money meals over the winter months. To burn off some calories after enjoying Tanya's famous sticky date pudding... why not a game of golf. The course is just next door with clubs and buggies available for hire. WE LOOK FORWARD TO WELCOMING YOU TO YOUR HOME AWAY FROM HOME

Affordable Gold City Motel in Charters Towers -12 units, 1.5 kms from city centre with self-contained kitchenettes/en suites in peaceful, relaxing, quiet surrounds, large pool, gardens/lawns, laundry, dining, BBQ area for casual guests' use. Meals catered for, breakfasts too. Work crews welcome, meals/cribs avail, families welcome, pets conditional, heavy vehicle parking.
Needs maintenance

When calling the premises (on two occasions) the phone rang 10 plus times before being answered. Obviously everyone has bad days and I’d like to say is true for this experience. However, upon arrival I was drilled by the lady for not having a smart phone to “sign in” to which I stated I’d be happy to fill out a form or do manually. After some grumbling I was told to use her tablet and manually sign in. No problem, she’s entitled to her views as I am to mine. The room: horrible mould smell, I found three full rolls of toilet paper under the sink with were sodden with water. (Cause of smell) took them outside to the bin. There was considerable dirt under beds and the shower rose had water squirting in every direction. As there was no cover to the fan in the bathroom, there were flies in the room all afternoon despite air conditioning on. I hope this was a one off. Lastly, the bed. Ouch! Springs I’m my back all night. Old and desperately in need of a new furnishings. I’ve stayed at another motel in Charters Towers and they were much cleaner, friendlier with nicer facilities all for the same price.

Heritage Lodge Has A Fully Equipped Guest Kitchen With Free Bbq Located At The Rear Of The Building With An Under Cover Patio Area. All Our Rooms Are Airconditioned With Own Ensuite Television And Tea/coffee Facilities. We Look Forward To Welcoming You To Our Area, Charters Towers Has Activities For All The Family.

Reviewed By rarghnexxRude staff, charged My credit card an extra $100 the next day with out speaking to me. I rang and was very rudely told it was for a damaged door handle to a back door I had not even used. Also which was clearly very old when I requested photos. Would not reccomend.

Might be ok for a single night after traveling all day and you plan to leave early next day. Renovations ongoing in middle of day regardless of contractor night shift staying there. Care given to raised concerns = 0
