Reviewed By Brian PWe chose a Garden Room ,quiet, clean spacious and comfortable., what one expects for the price. Close to the Grand View Hotel for meals. The only negatives are no parking near your unit, so depending on which unit you are in it can be a struggle with luggage, hence the average mark on service.. Trying to be diplomatic I do feel those of a portly body shape may find the shower a tad claustrophobic, not much room to move. Comfortable bed, quiet location.

The Bluewater Motel has Extra Large One and Two Bedroom Motel units and we also have Two Bedroom Villas available. Wonderful Steak and Seafood in our Dining Room and Bar. Open Monday to Thursday for meals or Room Service. We are Central to all of Bowens Pubs and the Free Water Park at front Beach. Stroll to the North Coast Cruising Yacht Club for the wonderful view and Food Freaks Restaurant. All units are Ground Floor with Undercover Car Parking. Let the kids enjoy our 12 Meter Salt Water pool and cook up a family feast on one of our two covered BBQue areas. Our Motel Manager, Kimberley Rigley has a great team who will ensure that you will enjoy your stay.
Great family run motel
Reviewed By Llewellyn DThis relatively small motel is well appointed with a lot of thought going into the furnishings and even the number and positioning of power points. Beds are large and comfortable and the television in our room was huge. Perhaps their main assets are the owners Kim and Debbie and their wonderful staff who make you feel more like a member of the family than a guest in their motel.

Ocean View Motel is quality and affordable Bowen accommodation, ideally located with a choice of at least eight pristine beaches, right at, or within 10 minutes drive from your Motel room, and overlooking Port Denison and the Islands. Great views and manicured lawn Very pleasant and helpful gentleman greeted us when we arrived Had the best warm apple pie and icecream delivered to our room. Yes there is traffic going past but it is the highway And it’s not really an inconvenience Will always be happy to stay at this motel

Reviewed By taraclarkesMy 11 year old son loved the castle theme. Good sized swimming pool and spa much bigger than most motels. The room was immaculately clean, spacious and modern with an high pressure shower which was much appreciated. Thank you for a great stay. We will be back.

Bowen Arrow Motel is a fully renovated and refurbished and relaxing place to stay for 1 night or 1 month. (Longer stay discounts apply). We are only a few minutes drive out of town in green garden surrounds. A guest BBQ and covered area to relax by the new Pool. We have a room service for Breakfast and Dinners. Ample room is available for truck, caravan, trailer and boat parking. And we allow pets! Come and stay and enjoy the beauty of Bowens beaches and views.

Reviewed By RLRRLThis motel is as honest as it gets, it’s older in age but that definitely doesn’t make it no good, it’s on a highway but that doesn’t make it no good, it’s basic but that doesn’t make it no good. In fact there’s nothing that makes it no good. It is fresh, clean, well laid out, easy access, cool with a nice breeze & warm with sufficient aircon. Not cramped for space, comfortable beds, all amenities req like kettle, toaster, soaps, towels etc. the staff are very friendly and honest. It was a surprise just how it is. After staying around the country in expensive hotels it was so good to see this. If you like flashy art works, glass sculptures and all the s hit & glitter you can find this isn’t for you. If your looking for something clean, easy, quite and friendly definitely check it out.

Palm View is a small high quality 4 star holiday and corporate apartment complex located in a lush tropical setting. Perfectly positioned, 100 meters to the sea and centrally located to all of Bowen's delights. A scenic walking track begins adjacent to our property and parks, shops and an ocean front golf course are just a short stroll away. Local bus service available from our front door.

Reviewed By hhx2_12We booked the single cabin. We received a pin number via sms to get our key out of a key safe in front of the Cabin. Location is great, only a few metres from the Ocean. The Cabin looked clean but is in need of renovation. The ceiling needs paint, the Wall behind the chair underneath the A/C the paint/wallpaper was peeling. Curtain on upper bunkbed was faded. A Ladder to the upper bunkbed started to rust Crockery and Cuttlery was a mix match out of everything and the small Oven was a shocker. The Oven tray still had food or whatever it was in it from years ago. Hotplates were also on its last legs. Would I stay here again??? After Renovations........YES I would give it only 2 stars but another one for a clean comfortable bed.

Reviewed By Yvonne CWas really looking forward to a meal out after being on the road for three weeks. Location was really great but then things went downhill. Took three open bottles to find enough to make one full glass of wine. Then went through to the Bistro, being an ALH owned site wAs expecting at least some standard of consistency. Ordered the Korean Chicken as an entree which was okay, however then cam the steaks, mine rare and partners medium rare. Both were cold on the inside. We all know that meat should be left to attain room temperature before being cooked, well this just wasn’t the case. When asked by the waitress how our meals were, was hesitant to say anything but when pressed, made the comment about cold steaks. We decided to order desserts anyway, and okay these were provided complimentary, thank you. Also as a side note the male toilets were unclean, and untidy, no hand towel, and smelled as though not cleaned properly that day. We travel ten months of the year and really only leave a bad review when more than one or two aspects grab our attention.

Very quiet, great location and staff but no maintenance
Reviewed By 709TAMThis place is in such a beautiful location but the unit we stayed in was in desperate need of maintenance. Broken kitchen tap, broken towel rail, gas stove not working properly, chairs about to break, toilet seat not attached properly. The staff are absolutely wonderful - we reported the issues to them and they said they’d told the owner many times. The other issue was that direct beach access was fenced off by council working in the area.

Reviewed By 4boysdadThis park is right on the beach and the end on a no thorough road making it very quiet. All sites are powered with water and there are a range of cabins. Facilities are clean and well maintained. There is a large pool, communal kitchen with reading area (free book swoop) and very large TV. Sites are closely situated but can accommodate all sizes of van. Certain pets are allowed check suitability of yours at time of booking. We received a midweek special rate saving $70 odd but ask for discounts at time of booking. The beach is accessible but stoney and would be difficult for very young children in front of the camp ground but access to a more walkabke area is via a locked gate - you get a key - at one end of the park. We selected beachfront site the most expensive option because we thought the view would be nice and it is, but an onshore breeze begins around 2pm which as the day progressed become very cool and caused us to retract the awning. Overall a great place to stay because it's quiet, security is good, chain across drive means no non guests driving through, good facilities for singles couples and families and certain pets allowed.

A great stopover to get some zzzz’s
Reviewed By pradawreckerWe arrived at 12:30am and owner had the vacancy light on (thank goodness)! Room was so clean and beds were comfortable. A great little vintage style bathroom with a great show ever to freshen up. Will defs stay here again if on a long road trip south from cairns.
