Overpriced and Disappointing
Reviewed By Bomber2711We stayed at the hotel last week. make sure that when you book a room here it is with chance of cancellation prior. We asked to cancel the 3 rooms one week in advance (exactly 7 days) as we had an issue within our company, and the only chance we were given was that the hotel would try and sell the rooms and only in case they managed to sell them, we would get a voucher valid until December…We stayed in many 5 star hotels around the world and this has never happened to me. 0 tolerance if a guest has a severe problem. So basically we were forced to go to avoid loosing our money. Restaurant inside the hotel is a no go, very expensive and food isn’t great, and service is extremely slow. I suggest you eat elsewhere. Rooms are nice, view is nice, and beach is nice even though the beds were full and none of them are kept exclusively for the guests of the hotel! A family with kids were not given the chance to stay, and eat, even though they were staying at the hotel! We went for a swim at the beach at 18,00 and sat down on the beds, and the two guys working at the beach were already taking away the beds! We almost got kicked out 40 minutes before 19.00 which is the time the beach is closing!!!! Room service starts at 18.30, which is absurd. Spa is OK; nothing excellent.

Reviewed By 73D3I stayed there for one night at this hotel. Good located and it has a parking place next to the hotel (not included). Breakfast is ok in the nice garden. Very quiet area and just few minutes to the beach.

Charming hotel with views of the Mediterranean
Reviewed By D KOur room here was good, with quite comfortable beds and a huge bathroom. A balcony overlooking the sea with table and chairs was delightful. Breakfast at the hotel was good, with lots of selection, and could be taken on the terrace outside, again overlooking the Med. Staff were friendly and helpful with answering our questions about directions, transportation, and the like. Highly recommend.

It was a pleasant surprise to find the hotel and the harbor view even more breathtaking in person than in the online photos. Guillaume was the perfect host, always trying to make us comfortable and happy. He succeeded,and we have wonderful memories our stay there. Want to go back!

Reviewed By JeanPierre6700Situated in a good location if you want to visit Bandol this hotel is clean simple and honest. Our room was lovely and had a really high ceiling. Everything was comfortable and with its location the best beach in Bandol is walkable in 10 minutes.

Good base for the region
Reviewed By TonyM67We stayed here for several days leading up to the French F1GP at nearby Paul Ricard. Bandol is a very pleasant seaside town and this hotel provided a comfortable base. Rooms were clean with air-con and breakfast was served by pleasant staff. The hotel is conveniently located for the beach and the many restaurants on the front and further along the same road as the hotel. Parking is nearby, adjacent to the casino opposite. Only hiccup occurred when our electronic room key stopped working one evening and staff had to be called out to fix it.

Villa Florida is an ideal place to spend a holiday in a centenary building. 2 steps from the beach, harbor and seaside activities, it is a friendly and relaxed stage in a quiet environment in the neighborhood of 1900 the beautiful city of Bandol. At 300 meters from the station, with pedestrian access to the hotel, travelers can use our luggage storage to take advantage of the first and the last day of stay. Many free parking lots around the hotel and some seats reservation in the courtyard. Parking guaranteed for 2 wheels, upon reservation. Our friends the dogs are accepted (extra charge) except in July and August.
Nice hotel near Bandol centre
Reviewed By SveinDahlA small hotel with very friendly and helpful staff/owners. Nice and clean rooms, though too small to be a place to hang out. Narrow bathroom, but good shower. The wifi worked well. Our room did not have air condition, only a fan, but they do have rooms with A/C. Good self-service breakfast to be enjoyed at their nice patio that offered some shade in the morning hours. The hotel is ideally located, about ten minutes walk from the seafront close to the railway station. They only serve breakfast, but we got coffee during the day and you can buy beer and wine to enjoy on the patio until the reception closes around 9 p.m.

Le Splendid Hôtel is a small 4 stars hotel with a guest house culture. The team works hard to make people feel at home while enjoying all the conforts of a high standards hotel. It has a indoor swimming pool, a hammam, a fitness centre, a garden, a hugh terrace, a bar, and a shared lounge in Bandol. Each accommodation at Le Splendid has an unique sea view. The rooms feature all of what you can expect from a 4 stars hotel, free WiFi, high quality beds, high quality towels, free coffe, free fresh drinks etc.
One of he Best In France
Reviewed By Randolph RAfter innumerable trips to Europe, including over ten to France, we suddenly discovered Bandol, on the Riviera about 30 minutes from Cassis. The town is one of the best, not loud and touristy like Saint Tropez or Cannes but calm and beautiful. And the only way to fully enjoy the serenity of Bandol is to stay at the Splendid Hotel, a small but very spacious hotel of suites overlooking the sea. My wife and I stayed in the Granat suite for five nights, on the top floor with an adjoining private terrace. Within a ten minute walk of excellent restaurants and beaches, the hotel offers serenity, superb views, and an excellent breakfast. The staff, from top to bottom, provides prompt and friendly service. We would never return to the Riviera without staying at the Splendid.

A Real Gem!
Reviewed By PKC1342We wanted to end our 2 week trip to France in Bandol and we wanted to stay as close to the water as possible. There are a wide variety of hotels in Bandol in pretty desirable locations, but, after a bit of research, the Hotel Plein Large seemed to be our best option. Well, it has exceeded our expectations in every way! First, the staff are wonderful - helpful, friendly & very dedicated. Second, the rooms are right on the Mediterranean - it’s literally 50 feet from our room’s veranda. And finally, access to the adjoining beach and Bandol itself is excellent. Our room was perfect: clean, spacious (bigger than our hotel room in the Marais in Paris!) and the proximity to the water is ideal. Oh, forgot to mention the nightly sunsets. Incredible! Stay here, unwind after traveling through France as we did and the Hotel Plein Large will be the ideal site to bid a fond adieu to France!
