Breakfast better than most places we stay and staff in this area is OUTSTANDING. They keep the place clean and well picked up. Easy direct drive to OSF is a plus.

Plaza’s owners are very cheap and uncaring

Reviewed By U4121GSalanb

This hotel has totally gone to h-ll on terms of service. It is still a lovely property, but the owners do not hire enough employees, the employees they do have are poorly trained, and it is clear the owners treat their employees like crap. Lots of things are also in disrepair, the breakfast options are poor and only bagged to-go, and the overall vibe is awful due to the utter lack of service. The location is still great and the place is still pretty, but it is obvious that the uncaring owners are only out to make a fast buck to make-up for their losses during Covid.

Perfect Ashland Retreat

My daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Abigail’s. The hosts were welcoming; the breakfast was outstanding (sweet and savory every day); there was coffee, tea, fresh baked cookies and local wine available if you wanted; and the rooms were clean and comfortable. There are areas for relaxing and socializing in the living room and on the covered porch. Lots of information and brochures about the area as well. And, despite the rainy conditions, we walked into town to see our play and take a walk in the park. An easy 10 minute stroll. As always, talking to other guests and our hosts about their experiences with restaurants, plays, and things to do was a highlight of staying at this BnB! We will definitely stay there again!

Good stay in central Ashland

Reviewed By elliottd358

Great location for walking to downtown Ashland , the town is beautiful and the room was comfortable for a one-night stay (the shower/tub combo was kinda old-fashioned "motel" style) but it fit the bill. Kinda weird to charge for basic amenities at the front desk like a single toothbrush, I ended up going to the Safeway across the street since I could pick out a nicer toothbrush at a lower price point. The staff was nice and the price was right! Would recommend for Ashland visitors.

Our unfortunate stay in the "dungeon"

Reviewed By anthonydD1824IT

Unfortunately our stay at this expensive lodge was not what we expected! As we made ourselves to our room with our hands filled with bags We went to the elevator. A maid was entering the elevator and she said You don't wanna take this elevator it's going to the " dungeon" With hands full with bags we waited for the next elevator as we got off the elevator we saw the same maid standing there and a awful smell, a smell like a sewer line had broken was through out the hallway.... And we had made our way to our room on a floor which they made called the "dungeon " The maid had blocked the hallway with her cart and I asked her if she could move it because I didn't think I could get passed. She said in a very rude voice "yes you can! " She didn't make any effort to move the cart and we pushed our way pass with our bags. When we entered the room the smell was in our room! This was the beginning of our trip and it was not a nice Beginning at all. The towels in the room were falling apart and rough. The sheets on the bed we're so old they were worn and very rough and uncomfortable! This was over a $200 room! For the most part the food was good. Except for a steak which was $30 and overcooked and came with burnt onions and only twi mushrooms! When we made our reservations we were promised live music but there was none! They gave an excuse that a wedding had taken place earlier that day and they just didn't get Any music for that night.99.9% of the staff was friendly and helpful this was really the only good thing about the trip except for that one maid That wouldn't move her car. When I wrote the hotel to complain about our experience I was written a nice note with a apologize , but the only compensation for this awful experience was that next time that I book a room there to please let the manager know and he'll do something special for me. That is not an acceptable response to an experienc like this at a very expensive lodge. I had planned on giving this place another chance but after that response from that manager I don't think we'll be back.

Disgusting

This place is a complete dump. It is surrounded by homeless people who live in the weeded vacant lot beside and behind the motel. Lots of homeless, mentally ill . people. When we arrived men were working with chain saws and weed wackers to “clear out the homeless”. Police arrived on the scene just after the work began.
